Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Elegant. Timeless. Breathtaking. Epic. Personal.
What about your business are you most proud of?
We are a small team of creatives who are absolutely committed to providing a first class service from the first email, throughout the wedding day and to delivery - and beyond. We are proud of every wedding film we deliver, as we never deliver anything that we are less than 100% happy with.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Don't sweat the small stuff. Your wedding day is about you two, your love, chemistry and all the things that make you want to marry each other. Everything else is just superficial. The best wedding films show true connections between two humans madly in love with one another - not who can throw the most lavish party.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Personal vows that are kept secret from the other person and only revealed (and read aloud) during the ceremony... With lots of tears and snotters. Those are the best.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
We want to get to know you, individually and as a couple. We want to know what makes you tick. What music you like? How do you like your coffee? On the day, you're just hanging out with your two new besties - who happen to have cameras... and who happen to be pretty good with said cameras.
What is the most exciting thing you have caught on camera?
We shot a wedding in Harris and had the morning after the wedding to capture some of the landscape and wildlife. That was pretty amazing. We both used to tour the world in a relatively well known Scottish Rock Band, and captured a lot of exciting stuff on the road for our own memories. We'll tell you about that later!
What is the one film you wish you had directed and why?
Forrest Gump. I'd have let Jenny live forever and be with Forrest for always. Now I'm going to cry.
What is your favourite soundtrack to put to a wedding video?
We always pick the soundtracks AFTER we have shot the wedding and sorted the footage. It's at that point we are able to really decide what works for that individual couple & film. We don't have a "cookie cutter" approach to shooting or editing - you can probably see that from our films. All very unique and individual - like our awesome couples.
Describe how you got into videography.
Kyle and I (Gary) met while on the road with a Scottish Rock Band. We had the incredible opportunity to travel all over the world in our twenties - so obviously wanted to invest in good cameras to capture the memories. One thing led to another and after a few years of shooting only for ourselves, we were being offered money to shoot commercials for brands and companies. One of our most regular clients insisted we shoot his wedding - we reluctantly gave and and were both surprised at how much we enjoyed the process - particularly the hand over. Nothing beats the feeling of handing over a completed collection of films that the couple LOVE. When you get a phone call and their still in floods of tears... thats when you know you've done your job!
