Cinematic, captivating, meaningful, emotional, precious
I'm deeply honored by the trust and respect couples show in allowing me to capture their special day. It's truly amazing to be part of such a significant moment in their lives.
My number one wedding planning tip for couples is to choose suppliers that you genuinely love, prioritizing your true preferences over convenience or price to ensure your day is exactly as you envision.
My favourite personal touch at a wedding was when the song "This is My Cornwall" was sung during the speeches. It beautifully signified the couple's love for Cornwall and paid respect to the bride's deeply Cornish heritage,
My typical process with a couple is as follows: We start with an initial discussion and a free consultation, after which the couple books and pays a 10% deposit. I then send over a contract and questionnaire. As the wedding date draws nearer, I keep in touch, and we have one last consultation to finalise plans. On the wedding day, I arrive early to ensure nothing is missed. After the wedding, I deliver a teaser video within a week or two, and all final materials, including any physical items, are delivered within 12 weeks. If needed, I make any tweaks the couple requests.
The most exciting thing I've caught on camera was a spectacular performance that included jugglers, stilt walkers, stunt performers, fire performers, and a live band, all showcasing their talents simultaneously.
The one film I wish I had directed is "Dune" The opportunity to translate Frank Herbert's rich, complex universe into a cinematic experience, especially with the modern visual and special effects that bring such a storied sci-fi epic to life, would be incredibly fulfilling.
My favourite soundtrack to put to a wedding video features raw, earthy, world-like instrumentals that capture pure emotion and feeling, much like the emotional ending of a film. These soundtracks help to enhance the deeply personal and heartfelt moments captured on camera, elevating the entire experience.
I got into videography through my passion for film, which has been a part of my life since childhood. Going to the cinema has always been one of my favourite activities. I studied media at school and pursued creative media in college. After graduating, I went straight into full-time videography, greatly influenced by a lecturer who was also a wedding videographer. It was through this influence that I discovered my love for capturing the beautiful days of couples, making their memories last forever.
