What is your most memorable wedding?
The first wedding I filmed was for my sister in the height of Covid. Initially, I was just going to help her by streaming the ceremony to friends and family. However, I ended up pulling out all of the stops. Using Gimbals, Drones and multiple cameras, I created an amazing video for her, one that she will have for the rest of her life.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Fly on the wall, Cinematic, Realistic, Loving, Colourful
What about your business are you most proud of?
The equipment list I have put together to specifically work with wedding videography needs.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Take your time! There is so much to get bogged down with, that sometimes you have to step back, breathe and look at the fun parts of planning!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
The Groom was a big star wars fan, so the Bride booked a Darth Vader cosplayer to come after the first dance!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
After they get in touch with what they are looking for in a videographer I will schedule a call with the couple. There we will talk about their needs and which of my packages would work best for them. I answer any questions to put their mind at ease. Closer to the big day I will arrange a pre-wedding consultation so we can talk through more of the nitty-gritty questions so I can understand the days schedule and make sure I can get the best coverage possible!
What is the most exciting thing you have caught on camera?
The couple almost falling over during their first dance when the groom tried spinning the bride around! Looked lovely on camera however, it was a very real moment.
What is the one film you wish you had directed and why?
Jojo Rabbit by Taika Watiti. It's a lovely, witty and surreal film. I aim to create such unique films!
What is your favourite soundtrack to put to a wedding video?
I really liked using 'Signed, Sealed & Delivered' for one wedding video. It was the track they used as they left the ceremony, and it worked well for the highlights after.
Describe how you got into videography.
As with most Wedding Videographers I fell in love with it after helping friends and family.
I was trained in filmmaking at the National Film and Television School, where I learned how to shoot and edit. For years, I was working in the television industry, helping film for the BBC and broadcast television.
During the Covid Pandemic, I was asked by my sister to film her ceremony. For this, I pulled out all the stops. Using Gimbals, Drones and multiple cameras, I created a beautiful wedding video for her.
From that moment I was hooked. The joy and happiness I had helped create were addictive! I now strive to create these kinds of moments for more and more couples. I would love to do so for you!
