Planning your wedding is all about capturing the love and joy of your special day. Happy Pears Wedding Videography, led by London-based cinematographer Alex Jackson, specialises in creating natural, heartfelt wedding films—especially for couples tying the knot at stunning destinations across Europe. Alex spends much of his time filming in breathtaking locations like Italy, bringing a passion for storytelling and a candid, unobtrusive style that lets your genuine emotions shine through.
At Happy Pears, the focus is on letting your wedding day unfold naturally. Alex works quietly behind the scenes, so you and your guests can relax and enjoy every moment without feeling watched. His goal is to capture those real, unposed memories—the smiles, laughter, and heartfelt interactions that make your celebration truly unique. Couples often say they barely noticed the camera, which means the final film feels authentic and full of life.
Choosing Happy Pears means a smooth, stress-free experience. Alex’s calm and professional presence ensures he’s always in the right place to catch the most meaningful moments. He works seamlessly alongside your photographer, focusing on capturing the day as it happens rather than directing it. The result? Dynamic, joyful films edited with energy and style that perfectly reflect the happiness of your wedding.
Happy Pears offers simple, flexible videography packages designed to meet the needs of modern couples—especially those planning from abroad. Here’s what you can expect:
I once did a wedding where everybody, and when I say everybody... EVERYBODY (bride included) during the dinner held their hands behind their backs and proceeded to eat their (messy) chocolate desserts without the use of their hands. Very messy. Very funny.

I’m proud of my highlights videos, I think they’re genuinely different. They’re not slow and drawn out... they’re fun for everyone to watch!
Apart from booking a videographer? Take time for yourselves, planning a wedding can be stressful. It’s important to take a step back and take a break from the planning. It will take the stress out and on the day, you’ll be more relaxed :). Me and my fiancé are planning a wedding, and there are 100s of suppliers in each category, find one you really like and arrange a video call to see if they are the right fit for your wedding.
One wedding I shot had vinyls hung in front of the windows, it looked really cool (especially as the evening light poured in).
I would always recommend a Skype call or even better a coffee or tea. It’s good to get to know who you’re working with (for both parties) and go over how everything works and answer any questions.
Once you have booked, I’m always available for a chat but will get back in touch with you about a month before the wedding with some final details!
Not wedding related, but I filmed a Bar Mitzvah and the mother had a arranged a ‘Greatest Showman’ cover band to sing ‘The Greatest Show’ as he was a massive fan - and then he got up and joined them dancing and singing. It was awesome!
Wedding related was during a speech, the best man had got Keith from The Office to record a message! The roof nearly toppled from all the laughter. Big fan.
How can I just have one?!
The Truman Show - Because it’s an amazing story
Jurassic Park - Because maybe I could have worked with Steven Spielberg and he’s my idol. Plus it has great visual storytelling. The ripple in the cup is such a genius idea.
Fargo - Because yah.
I like lively music, I try and stray away from songs that are slow and *overly* sentimental. Wedding days are fun, people are happy! Some songs can be downright depressing. That’s not the vibe I go for.
I took a masters in film production and by chance, landed a gig filming a wedding. I went in with my own style because I didn’t want to be influenced by what was ‘on trend’ and people seemed to love it. The rest was history!
