How We Capture Your Wedding Story
James, the expert behind Fox Films, takes a documentary-style approach to wedding videography. His goal is to blend seamlessly into your day, so you and your guests can enjoy every moment without feeling like you’re in front of a camera. Using professional yet minimal equipment, he captures every laugh, tear, and tender glance with authenticity—reflecting the real atmosphere of your wedding.
What You’ll Receive
Every couple’s wedding is one-of-a-kind, and Fox Films offers a comprehensive package that covers your day from morning preparations through to the first dance and beyond. You’ll receive two beautifully crafted films to treasure:
- Highlights Film: A short, cinematic recap of the most memorable moments—perfect for sharing with friends and family online. Delivered within about a week after your wedding.
- Feature Film: A longer, 14-16 minute film that tells the full story of your day, including key moments from your ceremony and speeches, so no detail is missed.
Where We Work and What’s Included
Based in Thame, Oxfordshire, Fox Films regularly films weddings across Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, and throughout the UK. The standard package offers full-day coverage to ensure every important part of your celebration is captured. If you want more, there are optional extras available—like extended edits and additional hours of coverage—to tailor the experience to your needs.

What is your most memorable wedding?
Shooting the sunset and lights from the disco outside the stunning architecture of Primrose Hill Farm after a beautiful day of filming. A great way to end the day and end the film for the couple.

Taking the plunge! Getting started and making the move into wedding videography after years of working the9-5 in marketing.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Bigger isn't always better. Make sure you're overwhelmed by those who bring a huge amount of kit to a wedding. Ask your videographer if they travel light - I adopt this approach to blend in and not stand out as much as possible. It yields the best results!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Speed drawing!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
- Pre-wedding consultation on Zoom (or in person if we're local) to go through my approach and meet the couple
- Deposit
- Final balance due 6 weeks before the wedding date
- Final call a week or two before the wedding with the couple to go through the schedule of the day
- Film the entire day from bridal prep through to the first dance (and a bit more!)
- Deliver a highlights wedding trailer (up to 1 minute) to the couple shortly after the wedding
- 5-7 minute cinematic feature film intertwined with speeches delivered to the couple
What is the most exciting thing you have caught on camera?
A surprise proposal at a wedding! Luckily the bride was absolutely thrilled!
What is the one film you wish you had directed and why?
I would have loved to have directed 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind', just so I could have understood exactly what was going on!
What is your favourite soundtrack to put to a wedding video?
Something beautiful, a mellow piano track is always great. But I think it's important to see how the wedding goes, it might call for something more upbeat. I'll always work with my couples to understand the sort of music they'd like in their film. It just has to be royalty-free, but I have a huge library of high-quality music to choose form.
Describe how you got into videography.
I studied film and video production at university over a decade ago, worked in Soho for ITN News, filmed some weddings on huge cameras when they were all the rage and technology hadn't moved on yet, then moved into corporate video production, then into marketing and video content creation. Almost full circle, I'm back to weddings and I intend to stay here!
