Dragon's Back Media Full Description
Matt is passionate about capturing your precious moments on camera. His films are documentary-style - for some of the time you won't even know he is filming. He won't order you around - for him it's a case of letting the occasions naturally unfold. Matt also has extensive experience in front of the camera. He has presented films for the BBC's Inside Out current affairs show and was a reporter in regional TV news. Guiding couples through their wedding videos comes effortlessly to him and he will ensure that your film is seamless. He shoots in 4K and uses a range of microphones to get the best sound possible. Matt also sets his films to appropriate backing music to create memorable and moving final products. Matt lives in Buxton and the name of his business Dragon's Back Media is inspired by the rocky descent of the nearby Chrome Hill. That said, Matt is happy to travel outside Derbyshire to capture weddings on film.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Chat and get to know your suppliers. It's always tricky to make decisions online. I love hearing about people's plans and I want to tailor my films to each individual couple. Oh and plan well in advance - but to be honest my wife was much better than I was when I got married.

What is the one film you wish you had directed and why?

This sounds a bit surreal but it would have to be a film of my own wedding. Claire and I didn't have a videographer when we tied the knot ( wedding videography hadn't really taken off at this point). What struck me was just how fast it all goes on your Big Day. You feel cheated by time - so having a film made of the day is a great way to preserve it.
