What is your most memorable wedding?
My most memorable wedding I have filmed is probably the first one I ever did, Kloe and Ant back in 2018. Mainly because it made me fall in love with filming weddings!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Natural, emotive, cinematic, fun, electric
What about your business are you most proud of?
I'm most proud of the fact I have built my little business all on my own and I do everything on my own. I'm also proud that I can genuinely say I love filming weddings and care about my couples!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Don't let other people dictate your wedding. It's YOUR special day, it should be how you want it!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
My favourite personal touch i've seen at a wedding was a particular wedding favour. The couple had a 7" vinyl made for each person with a personalised playlist on each one, with the guest's favourite music on, as well as songs they think they'd love! So thoughtful and sweet! They even had a QR code on it that linked to a Spotify playlist so they could listen to it right there and then!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
The typical process with any couple is:
Initial contact (email, phone, social message)
A chat (over email, phone, video call + in person meeting if you'd like)
Booking - I send over a contract and deposit info (25% of your package price)
Further chats and meet up if you wish closer to your wedding (i'm always available for a chat over message anyway)
Final payment 2 weeks before the wedding
Last chat to confirm details such as: who is doing a speech, order of the day, anything specific you want me to capture.
Your wedding day, woo!
What is the most exciting thing you have caught on camera?
The most exciting thing i've caught on camera is an incredible eruption of 100+ people dancing at a wedding, straight after the couple's first dance. It was a beautiful and electric sight to see, never mind film!
What is the one film you wish you had directed and why?
I wish I could have directed Toni Erdmann because it is the best film ever! It's a silly and heartwarming story about a father and daughter relationship and the acting is incredible! I'd also love to have directed any Wes Anderson film, because that would then mean I'm Wes Anderson, surely?!
What is your favourite soundtrack to put to a wedding video?
There is a band called The Hunts and every single song they produce is just perfect for wedding films! My two particular favourites are 'I Do' and 'Love of Mine'. Both of these have great slower and faster parts - perfect for building up to a big dance ending!
Describe how you got into videography.
I started filming weddings in Summer 2018 when a family friend asked if I would like to do it. I was graduating from a Film degree at Warwick Uni and had a pretty good camera, so I thought sure! Little did I know that I’d fall in love with it and now get to film lots of couples special days!
