What is your most memorable wedding?
It's hard to choose one. Maybe an Anglo-German wedding that I shot in Germany. They had German beer on tap in the house, archery, a lot of small dogs... it was bonkers.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Honest, beautiful, shot on film.
What about your business are you most proud of?
Our work.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Relax, don't fret the small stuff on the day.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Vintage glassware engraved with the names of every guest.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I keep it pretty simple and flexible - a few emails to start with, then coffee or a Skype. The films take a few weeks to come back from the lab in which time we can discuss the music you'd like me to edit to.
What is the most exciting thing you have caught on camera?
I have some lovely footage of my newborn son in hospital. I drove straight from a wedding to the labour ward (and arrived in plenty of time for the birth!)
What is the one film you wish you had directed and why?
North by Northwest... Maybe. I'm a big Hitchcock fan and think it's amazing that a 1950s thriller can still be so thrilling.
What is your favourite soundtrack to put to a wedding video?
I prefer to leave music choices to my clients!
Describe how you got into videography.
I'd been working in film professionally for a couple of years and decided to make super 8 films as wedding presents for some friends. I loved it, they loved it and it's what I've done ever since.
