If you’re planning a wedding and want something truly special, Cine Reportage in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire offers a unique and romantic approach to wedding videography. They specialise in shooting on Super 8 and 16mm film, creating beautiful, honest, and timeless memories of your big day. For couples who want their wedding video to capture authentic emotions with a nostalgic, artistic touch, Cine Reportage is an expert choice.
Unlike digital videos with filters, Cine Reportage uses genuine analogue film to bring warmth, texture, and a classic feel to your wedding video. Using vintage cameras that are 30 to 60 years old, they craft a visual story that’s rich in character and deeply personal. This dedication to real film means your wedding memories will have a unique, timeless quality that stands apart from modern digital footage.
Your final wedding film will be a beautifully edited short feature, typically 10-15 minutes long, set to music you choose. There’s also a shorter 3-4 minute version perfect for sharing with friends and family online. Since 2010, Cine Reportage has captured weddings across the UK and internationally, bringing experience and flexibility to every project. Their simple, relaxed process ensures you can enjoy your day without any added stress.
It's hard to choose one. Maybe an Anglo-German wedding that I shot in Germany. They had German beer on tap in the house, archery, a lot of small dogs... it was bonkers.
Honest, beautiful, shot on film.
Our work.
Relax, don't fret the small stuff on the day.
Vintage glassware engraved with the names of every guest.
I keep it pretty simple and flexible - a few emails to start with, then coffee or a Skype. The films take a few weeks to come back from the lab in which time we can discuss the music you'd like me to edit to.
I have some lovely footage of my newborn son in hospital. I drove straight from a wedding to the labour ward (and arrived in plenty of time for the birth!)
North by Northwest... Maybe. I'm a big Hitchcock fan and think it's amazing that a 1950s thriller can still be so thrilling.
I prefer to leave music choices to my clients!
I'd been working in film professionally for a couple of years and decided to make super 8 films as wedding presents for some friends. I loved it, they loved it and it's what I've done ever since.
