What is your most memorable wedding?
Probably Grace and Sam's wedding last year at the Oxford Golf Course. Sam (the Groom) was absolutely hilarious and was a photographers dream, posing for the camera and coming out with one liners! Was a very funny day and they were an awesome couple too which helped.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Vibrant, colourful, cinematic, dynamic and charismatic
What about your business are you most proud of?
The fact that I have built it myself nearly 10 years ago and still going strong. That I get to meet new people all the time and no day is ever the same.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Do your research and make sure you are happy with the quality of work of your suppliers.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I went to an Only Fools and Horses/ Disney Princess Wedding last year and that was pretty cool! Little nods to each franchise wherever you looked!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
So normally starts off with a couple of emails back and forth, the couples usually ask some questions to get a feel for who I am. Then once I've answered their questions and they're happy with everything, we arrange a meet up. Here we get to put faces to names and the couple get to ask me any questions they may not have asked me at the email stage. And vice versa, I'll ask them questions. Then on the day I turn up at 8.30 ready to film their wedding and stay throughout til 9pm. I like to have a laugh with the couple and make them feel at ease with me. I'm not one of those stuffy, formal types. After the wedding is done I work hard on their wedding film and traile
What is the most exciting thing you have caught on camera?
Not wedding related but probably filming with Christopher Eccleston in his kitchen! He had just come back from a run and stopped off at a corner shop to grab some wine on the way back. He came in to the shoot sweaty, wearing tight running gear and clutching a plastic bag filled with wine! He was a brilliant guy though, very cool to film with and even let me have a picture with him afterwards!
What is the one film you wish you had directed and why?
Ooohh, a tough one. Hmmm...*scratches head*, probably Inception or Interstellar. I love Chris Nolan, he's such an intelligent filmmaker, potentially too intelligent haha! Tenet was a tad too much for my humble brain but Interstellar and Inception were incredible. Wish I could have those ideas first!
What is your favourite soundtrack to put to a wedding video?
Is it acceptable to say anything from the 80's? Hahaha, anything really, I'm into all sorts of genres but anything catchy and upbeat works for me. I'm also a big Rammstein fan and no one has asked me to do a wedding film to a Rammstein song yet! I need to film a wedding with flamethrowers, welding helmets and Rammstein music hahaha!
Describe how you got into videography.
Ever since I was a young boy and watched the James Bond film, Moonraker one Christmas. I was pestering to watch it because it looked more interesting than Wallace and Gromit. So mom took me upstairs to watch it in her bedroom on her little portable TV while she watched Wallace and Gromit downstairs in the warm and on the big telly!
Anyway, I digress...
Watching that film got me into the love of filmmaking. I remember having a little handicam when i was younger, making silly little found-footage style horror films with my brother. Naturally that love has progressed to weddings and corporate film. If I can film it, I will!
