What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Make sure you meet your videographer and run through the day step by step, so everyone knows exactly what shots are happening when.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Face to face meeting where you talk me through how you met, and your plans for the day and any special requirements and you decide if you like me. If that's not feasible, I can send you a detailed questionnaire about your wedding and we can talk on the phone. If you do I'll send you a contract and you would return this signed with your deposit. The remainder needs to be paid 2 weeks before the wedding. I'll contact you a few days before the wedding to check the times/places. Then I'll be there to film your special day! Within 4 weeks (usually much quicker) you'll receive a link to the video on Vimeo to check, and then you'll receive the final wedding film files.
What is the most exciting thing you have caught on camera?
A deserted town filling up with sand
What is the one film you wish you had directed and why?
Citizen Kane, I love the style, and I can't believe how well put together it is considering it's all analogue film.
What is your favourite soundtrack to put to a wedding video?
Such a difficult question - it really does depend on the couple and their style. I always used licensed music, and if the couple have preferences I will always aim to match the music style.
Describe how you got into videography.
I was a photographer for many years, and a few years ago, I decided to sign up for a storytelling video course at a well-known London college, loved it and have never looked back!
