Description

The oldest surviving Grand Music Hall creates the perfect historic venue for your unique wedding. The exposed brickwork and original wood floors require minimal decoration and suit any style from modern-chic to rustic or fairytale. Still operating as a theatre and arts venue the venue is equipped for the most theatrical of couples with an in-built sound system, a full theatre lighting set up and a two-tier stage big enough for any band.

Wonderful shabby chic old theatre

Wonderful shabby chic old theatre used for wedding and other functions. Great service and food. Quirky rooms upstairs with the main hall and separate bar downstairs. Great atmosphere and everything went well.

Our guests were charmed

From it's natural aesthetic, to it's incredible team, we had the most fantastic day in April this year and it was memorable for all the right reasons. Our guests were charmed by the front doors alone, something I admit immediately captured my attention and heart. Thank you so much to Ross, Nathan, Becca, Jake, and the rest of the Wilton's crew who helped plan our day, organise the running, and were above all just really great people.

FAQs

Describe the best wedding that happened at Wilton's Music Hall?

Small, personal touches are what make the most beautiful weddings at Wilton's. With up to 4 rooms to use and spread out into for the drinks reception after the ceremony there is plenty for your guests to do and explore. One wedding had a live pianist in the Cocktail Bar, a polaroid camera and a homemade photo display board so guests had something to do whilst listening to the gorgeous music, whilst also creating lasting memories for the couple to take home and enjoy. in the Champagne Charlie room was an 'Absent Friends' area in memory of loved ones who couldn't be with them on the day and games such as Hungry Hippos and Ker-Plunk were set out in The Study for the kids to play with. There was so much to do without being overwhelming or causing delays in the timings of the day. Guests felt welcome, cared for and comfortable in the environment.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Don't try and fit too much in. The best weddings are simple in format but well-executed.

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

My favourite touch was a custom portrait of the couples two cats dressed in military uniform, in the style of Thierry Poncelet, which replaced one of the usual prints that hangs on the Mezzanine so that it blended in with the Wilton's decor and only the sharpest eyed guests would notice.

Describe Wilton's Music Hall in 5 adjectives

Historic. Glamorous. Romantic. Cosy. Rustic.

Where’s the best photo spot at Wilton's Music Hall?

The stage (and outside the front door)

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at Wilton's Music Hall?

BAFTA Winner Jason Watkins had his wedding here in 2014.

What’s your favourite canapé?

Slow cooked curry aubergine with pomegranate salsa

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

Bao buns

What is Wilton's Music Hall most unique feature?

The four drinks reception rooms that used to be four separate houses that were knocked through to make the theatre's front of house spaces. You can still see the old external windows from the back of the houses that were bricked up when they built the theatre, and the old roof that is visible from the balcony entrance.

What part of your business are you most proud of?

Each and every staff member loves the venue and cares about all visitors and guests having a great time whilst they're here.
