Describe the best wedding that happened at Wilton's Music Hall?
Small, personal touches are what make the most beautiful weddings at Wilton's. With up to 4 rooms to use and spread out into for the drinks reception after the ceremony there is plenty for your guests to do and explore. One wedding had a live pianist in the Cocktail Bar, a polaroid camera and a homemade photo display board so guests had something to do whilst listening to the gorgeous music, whilst also creating lasting memories for the couple to take home and enjoy.
in the Champagne Charlie room was an 'Absent Friends' area in memory of loved ones who couldn't be with them on the day and games such as Hungry Hippos and Ker-Plunk were set out in The Study for the kids to play with. There was so much to do without being overwhelming or causing delays in the timings of the day. Guests felt welcome, cared for and comfortable in the environment.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Don't try and fit too much in. The best weddings are simple in format but well-executed.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
My favourite touch was a custom portrait of the couples two cats dressed in military uniform, in the style of Thierry Poncelet, which replaced one of the usual prints that hangs on the Mezzanine so that it blended in with the Wilton's decor and only the sharpest eyed guests would notice.
