- MMichaela Smith26/08/2023Best of a bad situationBest of a bad situationOn the biggest day of my life, unfortunately my dad had a heart attack just after first seeing me in my dress. He couldn't walk me down the aisle or be there. But if it wasn't for all the staff at wensum valley I don't know how I would've pulled through and still gone on with the day like he wanted. I personally think if they hadn't reacted as quickly as they did he wouldn't have made an amazing recovery like he has. So thank you so much wensum valley, you still managed to make the day absolutely magical, when it could've turned into the worst. Nothing was delayed or too much trouble. Food was brilliant. I usually the finish the wife’s, but I couldn’t do it this time, as I was too stuffed. Great atmosphere. Great staff. Honeymoon suite was top notch, also. Can’t recommend this place enough. Thank you for making what is supposed to be a very stressful day, very easy. The whole day was amazing , we had so many compliments on the venue. The food was delicious and such a good standard. The evening hog roast was just divine!! The staff couldn't do enough to help and made sure the day ran smoothly, a special thanks to Tim for his help during the meal/ photos/ evening reception. We would like to say a big thanks to Emma the events manager who helped us through the whole process of the wedding planning for nearly 2 years,she made sure everything went to plan and I didn't even slightly worry all day about anything, as I knew she had it all in hand. The hotel grounds are a beautiful back drop for the wedding photos. Overall it was the best day ever at the best venue we could have asked for!
