The main 16th Century mansion house and castle are set in a private sixty acre estate where guests can enjoy an entirely private experience surrounded by friends and family. The estate offers accommodation for around 55 people spread between the main house, our cottage, the hayloft and cabins. All events are tailored to the individual requirements of each couple or group. The average rental runs for two nights and three days, allowing guests to properly catch up and relax in the stunning Borders’ countryside. Included in every booking is access to all infrastructure onsite including the main house, cottage, hayloft, two beautifully refurbished barns, a huge dining/danceing lodge to sit up to 160 guests; 60 acres of grounds, gardens and lawns, sports courts (if you're feeling particularly active), peacocks, an arcade and more! It is a newly refurbished, breath-taking venue with a historical twist. The current owners being the first since the 13th century to open the house up to the world. Many of our couples are "Ones a Scot, ones not", taking advantage of Wedderlie's central location in the UK. There is plenty of additional accommodation round and about with excellent taxi provision for guests not staying onsite. We really try and include as many elements as possible in your booking, as standard. We don't have hidden fees and we pride ourselves on being extremely open and supportive with every couple.
