Relaxed and rural, the Weald & Downland Living Museum is a venue for those after something extraordinary for their wedding day. The surrounding rolling countryside, historic setting, tranquil atmosphere and unique spaces come together to offer couples an enchanting venue for their big day.
As part of your wedding day at the Weald & Downland Living Museum, you and your guests have access to the entire Museum and you will also receive a one-year joint adult membership so you can visit throughout the year and relive those special memories.
The Downland Gridshell
The first building of its kind to be built in the UK, the Gridshell is a unique and exquisite setting for both civil ceremonies and receptions of up to 180 people.
With its shell-like shape made from solid oak, the Downland Gridshell is an architecturally awe-inspiring and dramatic building that is surrounded by peaceful and beautiful woodland. Each year the Museum releases a limited number of dates to give couples the opportunity to use this incredible space for their wedding ceremony and reception, making the Gridshell a truly one-of-a-kind backdrop for your special day.
Crawley Hall
Situated in the heart of the Museum’s medieval market square and surrounded by cobbled paths and historic buildings, this charming timber-framed barn is an ideal choice for more intimate wedding celebrations. Licensed for civil ceremonies, Crawley Hall can host parties of up to 50 guests followed by an informal buffet reception or picnic.
You
