Nestled in the heart of South East London’s beautiful Well Hall Pleasaunce, Tudor Barn Eltham feels like a secret discovered just for you.
Step through the gates and you’re instantly transported — a magnificent 16th-century Tudor barn (the only one of its kind remaining in London), lovingly restored and wrapped in 13 acres of award-winning parkland. Original oak beams arch overhead, soft light spills through elegant windows, and the gentle shimmer of the medieval moat reflects the changing seasons around you.
This is more than a venue; it’s a place where history quietly whispers romance. Built in 1525 by William Roper for his bride Margaret (daughter of Sir Thomas More), the barn has stood witness to centuries of stories — and now it’s waiting to cradle yours.
Whether you dream of saying “I do” beneath those ancient beams in the intimate Tudor Gallery or outside on our stunning front lawn, sipping champagne on the sun-dappled Moat Terrace, laughing with loved ones across the sweeping front lawn, or dancing late into the night with the entire exclusive-use venue wrapped around just your celebration — every corner feels personal, warm, and utterly yours.
Here, time slows. The everyday world fades. All that remains is the joy on your faces, the hands you hold, the promises you make, and the laughter that echoes through history.
At Tudor Barn Eltham, your wedding isn’t just a day — it’s a love story finding its perfect, timeless setting.
We can’t wait to help you write the next beautiful chapter as you have always wished with no fixed packages you can create your dream day with flexible food/drink options.
We hosted a fantastically rewarding wedding for an extremely brave firefighter who tackled the Grenfell Tower blaze. The unity and friendship between him and his colleagues was like nothing we have seen before. All of the groomsmen and the groom wore full dress uniform and after the ceremony, there was a Firefighter’s Guard of Honour, to honour our fireman groom and his new bride.
Set out your absolute must have goals and stick to them! You have probably been thinking about this day for years so make sure you get what you have dreamed of.
Table names are always fascinating to us, whether it's the bride and grooms favourite songs, places they have traveled, themed around disney or pictures of them over the years no two weddings have ever had the same
