There is no better word than perfect. Trent Bridge and its staff had a huge part to play in this. From classy touches such as the scoreboard 'congratulations message' to the little things such as keeping vendors, like the DJ and photobooth hydrated and comfortable; everything we could have asked for was provided. The wedding breakfast was delicious and all three courses went down brilliantly with all of our guests. The evening buffet also worked fantastically well and we thank you for allowing us to utilise a more customised menu for this, we have nothing but positive comments about the food. Jo was a pleasure to deal with and really made us feel assured with our booking. She is a credit to the Club and we are grateful for her efforts in pulling everything together for us and ensuring everything on the day was just as we had wanted. The level of service and sheer amount of effort put in by Phil (Duty Manager) was obvious to all of our guests and his actions garnered a huge level of praise. Our parental figures in particular were full of admiration. Overall we received an absolute 5-star service at Trent Bridge. We attended a wedding fayre at the venue in February 2019 and Becky was blown away by the beautiful Long Room and the setting as a whole. Now as a cricketer myself, I was absolutely delighted that she wanted to get married here! From the minute we decided that this was the place to hold the wedding, the entire team were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. They understood that although they have handled lots of weddings, for most couples, this is the first time they have done this, and the team went out of their way to make sure that we were happy with the arrangements, the timings, the food etc. The menu tasting was amazing, and we were so happy with the quality of the food, even from the basic menu. Everyone involved in organising the event was so helpful and friendly. The ceremony itself was held in the Long Room which has its own magical atmosphere and the excellent wedding breakfast was held at the Boundary Edge restaurant which was the perfect size for our wedding party of 60 guests. The highlights of our day included; confetti thrown by our guests near the pavilion steps, photos at the nearby Trent Embankment, seeing the wedding message on scoreboard and last but not least, everyone's happy smiles throughout the dayWe are so glad we chose Trent Bridge as our wedding venue in September 2021. The room looked beautiful and was the prefect size to accommodate the number of guests we had. We have been members at Trent Bridge since we met and to be honest it’s such a special place already that having our reception at the ground felt like a perfect fit. Whether you are a cricket fan or not Trent Bridge just takes your breath away. From the moment we met with Jo to look found we knew it would all be perfect. We wanted a low key but romantic feel. We wanted loss fuss and whilst we did our best to be organised we were still very last minute in our decision making but Jo just made work every time. We loved everything about the venue. The room was perfect, big enough for all so it never felt like there were empty spaces but no one was on top of each other. A perfect dance floor with the most spectacular view! We had beautiful candles, white linen, so many fairy lights!!! It looked classy during the day and at night it sparkled. The staff were so brilliant and served the most wonderful menu. Mass catering can be such a risk but I have to say the food was superb and we had so many people compliment the menu which really made our day. Nothing was too much trouble and the bits we wanted to add were done seamlessly and with such attention to detail I couldn’t quite believe our luck! We started the weekend on such a high too as we were invited out onto the pitch at the T20 on the Friday night, the night before the wedding. It made us feel thoroughly at home. Dan met us and introduced us to the players and officials and the photos he took out in the middle are a lovely memory we will treasure. Such a nice and unexpected touch. We were so lucky that we also got to watch the Riverside festival fireworks from the best place - we all drifted in and out with drinks in hand in the warm summer evening breeze. It really was such a special day. We waltzed out that night and when we drifted back the next day everything we had brought in to decorate had been carefully collected up and was ready for an easy collection. We came and went in the run up to the wedding and were, without exception, assisted by the kindest staff ever. Nothing, literally, was too much trouble. We still have the pleasure of saying hi to those who helped us with our big day every time we go to the ground - it’s such a lovely and continuing touch of kindness. We have had so many compliments on the food, the people and the venue. What more can I say? It was perfection. The best decision we made, aside from deciding to get married of course! To anyone considering this as your venue don’t hesitate you won’t regret it. It was great to see it on TV for the world cup games in the run up to our wedding date! We live in Warwickshire but wanted to get married in Nottingham as that is where my family is based. Though its not that far away we thought the distance might be a problem for organising things. Trent bridge were incredibly accommodating though, working around us for meetings and doing a lot over the phone and via email. I really can’t recommend them enough. We got married in July 2019. We had to wait until cricket fixtures were announced in November before we could get a final date. The cricket ground let us limit it to two potential dates before then which meant we could start making most arrangements and it wasn’t a problem. All of the organisation was very simple and made very easy by them. We were able to do a menu tasting and get in to the room the day before to set up. They even did the final assembly of parts on the flower arrangement for us in the morning as we couldn’t do it the day before. Everyone working at the ground were very helpful and generally lovely from the wedding coordinator to the people working on the day and the security guards. The ceremony was at St Giles Church and afterwards we all walked the short distance down the road to the cricket ground. Everyone was so excited to be there and it was amazing to see our names on the board. We had a drinks reception and canapés in the long room before moving to the Derek Randall suite for the meal and dancing. The meal was delicious and all dietary requirements were well catered for. The main problem we had was getting people on the dance floor as everyone wanted to sit in the stands in the sunshine and look at the ground. Once it got dark that was no longer a problem though. We had a relatively large wedding with 120 for the meal and about 150 for the evening and the venue could accommodate them all easily. We had the most incredible day and I am so pleased we chose to get married at Trent Bridge. She has been an absolute joy to work with, and has always been on hand to answer our questions, getting back to us very quickly and sorting everything out for us with 100% efficiency. We've never had to ask twice for anything, and absolutely anything that we wanted to happen she has found a way to make it happen, and it really means a lot to us the amount of effort she has put in for us. There has been many times that Trudie has suggested something to us, or helped us with timings or ideas that really made a difference on the day. We've always felt secure that everything was in hand, and that everything would run smoothly, and I don't think there's anything in the run up to the wedding that could mean more to a bride or groom. On top of this, Trudie has always been such a friendly and kind person who seemed genuinely interested and committed to our big day. The service from the waiting staff and bar staff was prompt, polite and showed real degree of professionalism. We were very grateful to all the staff involved for how well they handled the day, and again many of our guests commented on how friendly and efficient the staff were. There really are no words to say how grateful we are to everyone at Trent Bridge for making our day so special, or to express how wonderful Trudie and Lisa have been throughout the months leading up to the wedding and the day. They are both such lovely people who made planning our wedding extremely easy and fun, and they both are such outstanding at their jobs. We would struggle to think of anything that we would have preferred to be done differently. We loved the Derek Randall Suite with its light airiness and the ability to go outside in the stands. It happened to be a beautiful sunny day and quite frankly everyone was just delighted with the location. The team who served us was wonderful. They were efficient, skilled, considerate and kind from beginning to end. From the start of our planning with Trent Bridge, Trudie our wedding co-ordinator was incredibly helpful and always quick to respond with patient answers to our many questions. Our daughter and son-in-law really appreciated the opportunity to taste the food they had chosen before the big day and make the few desired changes. On their wedding day, the food was great. Lots of guests commented to us that the food was really good and the portions were generous. You may be interested to know that we attended a reception in the Derek Randall Suite about five years ago and said to one another at the time that we should remember it for when we needed such a venue. From our first meeting when we were considering potential venues, your calm and professional approach made it not only our first choice, but our only choice. Nothing was too much trouble and everything we asked for or sought your opinion on was dealt with in a way that made us feel so important and special. As an aside, I'm sure you met a kindred spirit in Susan and her organisational skills, spreadsheets and all!! I believe some venues would not have been so helpful if faced with similar requests or questions. I mentioned how important and special you made us feel, not only on our wedding day, but from our tasting meal, and every visit thereafter right up to our last visit on the day prior to our wedding.
