We got married at Tower Hill Barns in June, and from the moment we first came to an open day right through to leaving the morning after our wedding, we honestly couldn’t fault a single thing. If you’re considering booking Tower Hill Barns and aren’t quite sure, please just do it! We genuinely don’t think you’ll find a better venue or team in the North West. We’ve been to a lot of weddings at some beautiful venues and, while we’re obviously slightly biased because we chose to get married here, so many of our friends and family have since told us it was one of the best weddings they’ve ever been to. The venue itself is incredible, but it’s the people and the way everything is run that really make it so special. There’s such a lovely, close-knit, family-run feel to the whole place, and you experience that throughout the entire process. Dominique was brilliant during the planning, always so helpful over email and happy to answer our endless questions. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble and we always felt like we were in safe hands. We were lucky enough to stay in the cottage the night before the wedding as well as on the wedding night, and it made the whole experience even more special. The accommodation is beautiful – immaculate, incredibly comfortable and so well looked after. When we arrived the day before with all of our wedding bits, Julie was there to help us get everything dropped off and organised, and from that point onwards we could just relax and enjoy it. On the morning of the wedding, Rachel was absolutely lovely. She sorted breakfast for us while we were getting ready and was so attentive, which made the whole morning feel really relaxed. It’s all those little things that you remember afterwards, and everyone at Tower Hill Barns made us feel so looked after. The venue and grounds themselves are stunning and so beautifully maintained. We decided to have our ceremony outside and, despite it being an extremely windy day, it was absolutely beautiful. The ceremony space is gorgeous and we’re so glad we were able to get married outside surrounded by the grounds. The wedding day itself was completely faultless. Everything ran so seamlessly that we were able to completely switch off, enjoy ourselves and never once worry about what was happening next or what was going on behind the scenes. All of our signs, boards and little details were set up perfectly without us ever seeing any of it happening. During our cocktail hour, the team completely transformed the space and changed the tables over for the next part of the day, yet it all happened so discreetly that our guests barely even noticed. The team were so attentive, the bar service was brilliant and there were never huge queues for drinks. Everything just worked. And the food!! Honestly, it was unreal. The canapés were incredible, and we loved that the team had even thought to save a canapé and one of our cocktails for us because they knew we’d be busy having photos and speaking to everyone. It’s such a small detail, but it sums up the level of thought and care that went into the whole day. Our wedding breakfast was just as good. So many of our guests commented on how incredible the food was. The portions were really generous, everything tasted amazing and it was a million miles away from the typical “wedding food” you sometimes expect at a big event. The evening food was brilliant too – we opted for the pizza and chips and it was exactly the sort of food you want later in the night. Our guests absolutely loved it. Even the following morning, we were looked after again at breakfast before leaving. That really sums up the whole experience for us – the care didn’t start when the wedding began and stop when the music finished. From arriving the day before to leaving the morning after, we felt completely looked after. We honestly cannot recommend Tower Hill Barns enough. The venue is beautiful, the food is incredible and the team are exceptional. We honestly don’t even know where to start when it comes to thanking Tower Hill Barns for the most incredible day. From the moment we first visited, something just felt right—but what they delivered on our wedding day went far beyond anything we could have imagined. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, and so many of our guests commented on how stunning it was. Everything is so well thought out, and it creates such a special atmosphere from start to finish. We also have to mention the food—it was genuinely incredible. Every dish was served hot, presented perfectly, and tasted amazing. So many of our guests told us how impressed they were, which says a lot for wedding food! It was one of the highlights of the day. The accommodation was another huge plus. Both our honeymoon and our guests’ rooms were spotless, comfortable, and finished to such a high standard. It made the whole experience even more enjoyable knowing everyone could relax and stay in such a lovely space. What really made everything come together though was our wedding manager, Jo Rowlandson. She was simply amazing. From day one, she made us feel completely at ease. Planning a wedding can feel overwhelming at times, but Jo was always there with reassurance, guidance, and a calm, friendly approach that made everything feel so much easier. Nothing was ever too much trouble for her. If we could give more than 5 stars we would! Right from the start at our initial meeting we knew 100% that Tower Hill Barns was our perfect venue and even better, the Team there were going to do us proud. Its impossible to name one or two people, everyone at THB went over and above for us and what really stood out is that they really, really care about what they do and about making our day as perfect and special as possible. Nothing is too much trouble, every email response was friendly, detailed and most importantly, always put us at ease. We built such a fantastic relationship with the team, every contact with them was a pleasure. After every visit or phone call we couldn't wait to see or speak to them again, they became honorary family members to us! When it came to the actual wedding day we were so relaxed and chilled because we knew everything was in hand but also every team member put us at ease, kept us updated with comings and goings, checked to see if we needed anything. Honestly we could not have asked for more from them. Everything ran like clock work, the food was sensational, the Team were fantastic with our guests and the resounding feedback we've had since is that it was "the best wedding they'd ever been to"! Post-wedding, we are now looking out for other events at THB that we can go to because we miss the Team and it is such a special place to us now. Myself and my HUSBAND just got married at Tower Hill barns, and we couldn’t have wished for a better day! Our coordinator was Georgie and was simply amazing! I like to think I’m quite organised, but she absolutely kept me sane throughout the whole process! The day was so well organised thanks her, and the staff at THB were incredible! All of our guests complimented how they never had to wait for a drink, and how amazing the food was! After being together for 20 years (and engaged for 10!), we finally got married in March at Tower Hill Barns and honestly, it was everything we’d ever dreamed of and more. We have three children and we’d actually started planning our wedding before I fell pregnant with our third — so we had to pause everything for a while. Looking back, I'm so glad this happened because it meant we discovered Tower Hill Barns and it was 100% meant to be. From the moment we arrived, the staff were amazing – so friendly, helpful, and genuinely lovely people. Nothing was ever too much trouble and you can tell they all really care about what they do. It’s such a close-knit team and that warmth really shines through. Everything ran so smoothly! Every little detail was perfect. A special thank you to Georgia, our wedding coordinator ,who was absolutely brilliant. She guided us through everything, answered every question (no matter how small!), and made sure the day ran perfectly from start to finish. The best decision we ever made was choosing THB for our wedding in June 2025. From the very first viewing, we knew it was special. The whole process from booking to the months of planning, was handled with such professionalism and genuine care that we always felt completely at ease. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and Jordan was always there to answer even the smallest of questions, which gave us so much reassurance along the way. When the big day finally arrived, it honestly couldn’t have been more perfect. Every single member of staff went above and beyond to make sure everything ran seamlessly, and we truly felt looked after from start to finish. Their warmth and attention to detail made the day flow effortlessly, allowing us to just soak up every moment. The food was absolutely exceptional, 10/10! Many of our guests told us it was the best wedding meal they had ever had! To all the team at THB, thank you for giving us the best day of our lives. The best venue we could have asked for The best venue we could have asked for
Tower Hill Barns not only exceeded our expectations, but also the guests! From start to finish, it was beautiful and seamless. Guests could not stop talking about the venue with the outdoor ceremony and beautiful flower beds, the food (the Welsh lamb) and the cocktails. As the couple we felt no stress or pressure, we were catered to individually by the staff all day. I can't stress enough the effort they put into your day so you can sit back and enjoy. On the day there was flexibility with the timings to make the most of the sunny weather and lawn games. We also managed to do our first dance outside with the sun starting to set which was gorgeous. I honestly don't think there's anything we would have done differently, it was perfect! We also loved the farm house accommodation and really enjoyed all having breakfast together the following morning and debriefing with everyone. I would recommend the venue to anyone looking for a beautiful, relaxed and delicious wedding!! Directions from A483: Between Wrexham and Oswestry on the A483 take exit 1 sign posted Llangollen and Ruabon. Take the road for Llangollen, and pass through Acrefair and on into Trevor. Continue past the Duke of Wellington Pub on right and up the incline. Tower Hill Barns is at the top, first turning on the right hand side. Directions from Llangollen: Follow the signs for the A5/Wrexham and travel for approx 4 miles out of Llangollen. Entering the village of Trevor, passing the Aussie Rooster Pub on the left and continue along passing the turning on the right for the World Heritage Site/Trevor basin. Tower Hill Barns is the next turning on the left hand side at the end of the houses.

Goodness, it would be utterly impossible to pick a favourite or the 'best' because incredible weddings happen here at Tower Hill Barns on the regular and we are 'all in' on every single one. From glorious summer weddings where couples and their guests delight on the terrace sipping cocktails bathed in the glow of golden hour, to intimate celebrations that twinkle during the festive season, and everything in between (including the quirky references to Lord Of The Rings and the celebrant-led ceremonies with the most personal hand-fasting rituals), we love them all. We're a crew that loves to play host and our venue is yours for the making!

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Make sure that you fully discuss your vision for your big day with your wedding planner, this way they can ensure that nothing gets missed and make it happen for you.

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

One couple took the time to find a photograph of either the bride or groom with every single one of their guests and used them as their place cards. Such a personal touch which made their guests feel very special.

There are so many idyllic spots here to capture your perfect moments, but we think a dark and moody shot in the Outdoor Bar & fire pit chill out area with cool lighting are up there with the best. Yes - but we're very discreet!

What’s your favourite canapé?

There are so many to choose from but our King prawn tempura with sweet chilli & sesame always goes down a storm!

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

Homemade pizzas! (Our chefs can whip up a good midnight treat like no other)

What is your venue's most unique feature?

Our secluded and intimate historic sandstone railway bridge is the unique setting for our outdoor ceremonies. Walk down the wildflower-lined aisle, to take your vows surrounded by stunning countryside views.

What part of your business are you most proud of?

Anyone who has married here at Tower Hill Barns will tell you it’s more than just a venue. More than just a place to get married. It’s a feeling you get as you walk through the doors for the first time, a feeling of being ‘at home’. You arrive as strangers, but leave as friends.
