Guy is originally from Norfolk, and we have always loved the North Norfolk coast, so we looked at venues in the area. After our first visit, all other venues were then compared to Titchwell, but we knew it was the winner before seeing any others. We wanted a wedding/reception to be all in one location with guests staying on-site. It was the perfect size for this, any bigger and you start to lose the personal touch. Titchwell was open to our ideas and worked with us to make the day special.
I think the memory will actually be the entire weekend, with 90% of the guests arriving on Friday, which made it feel like a party weekend. The food was excellent and the arrival of the beef wellington definitely got everybody talking and eating, and the speeches were memorable for most.
The menu to us was important, wanting to use local produce. We gave the chef a few ideas, and they developed the menu around this for us. The tasting was excellent and, from our feedback, the final choice was made. Local crab for starter, beef wellington main, and a light lemon dessert. This was then followed by a cheese course with port; No one went hungry. Later in the evening, we had fish and chips to fuel the party and keep everyone on the dance floor.
The team were 10 out of 10, from breakfast through to last orders. Not only did they look after us, but also all the guests and made them feel special as well. So much so we had multiple people feedback to us what a great team Titchwell have, and they would visit again.
[To anyone considering booking Titchwell Manor for their wedding venue,] book it you won't regret it. We have discussed if we would change anything on the day, and we wouldn’t. Everything was perfect for us. The team will work with you, guide you if needed, but ultimately it is your choice how you want the day to run and they will ensure it happens. Having everyone stay in the same location allowed people to enjoy themselves and created a great atmosphere for the whole weekend.
