Description

The Wharf is a unique restaurant in a stunning location. Converted from a Victorian boathouse, it overlooks the River Thames at Teddington with perfect views of the picturesque Teddington Lock and beautiful Ham Common. We can accommodate any function, big or small, and will work with you through every step of planning. We can help you decide on food and wine for the big day and can tailor the menus to suit your individual requirements. We take great pride in the level of service we offer to make sure your event is exactly as you want it. The Main Dining room can accommodate up to 120 for seated dining, 120-200 for a buffet (as a mixture of seating and standing space) or 200 for canapés (standing only). It has a large bar area which can be used for a champagne reception and pre-dinner drinks, as well as post-dinner dancing. Our First Floor can accommodate 20-60 for seated dining, 60-100 for a buffet (as a mixture of seating and standing space) or 120 for canapés (standing only). It provides an informal but intimate atmosphere with its private bar and enclosed balcony, overlooking the Thames. Should you be planning a larger event you can hire the entire venue exclusively using both the First Floor and main dining room, to provide you with seating for up to 180 guests, 180-320 for a buffet (as a mixture of seating and standing space) or 320 for canapés (standing only).

We work on a minimum spend basis rather than a hire fee, which varies depending on the day of the week and the month of the year. The minimum spend can be made up of any pre-ordered food, pre-ordered drink and a cash bar on the night. Prices vary according to the size of the wedding party starting from 15 guests. We can accommodate more intimate weddings on the first floor, in our private dining area with a hard fee attached. The veranda has views of the river and your own private bar, staff and restrooms. For larger weddings, we recommend the exclusive use of the venue and we have half-day and full day available to accommodate your needs. As our packages vary depending on your wedding, please enquire directly and we'll be happy to talk you through all the available options.

Thanks to all on the day who made it so special and stress-free . We were able to bring in our own band who really got the party started, even the fab bar staff had a dance behind the bar! We booked The Wharf earlier this month for our wedding and it surpassed our expectations! All of our guests were blown away by the gorgeous location and delicious food, with everything expertly organised on the day by KP, who we cannot thank enough! We’re still getting compliments weeks later (especially about the beef wellington and tuna!). We can’t wait to come back for each anniversary, and many times in between, as it is such a lovely venue. We booked The Wharf earlier this month for our wedding and it surpassed our expectations! All of our guests were blown away by the gorgeous location and delicious food, with everything expertly organised on the day by KP, who we cannot thank enough! My son and his bride celebrated their wedding day at the Wharf yesterday and would like to highly recommend this venue to anyone thinking of holding their wedding reception here to do so. Excellent food, extremely efficient staff and very helpful management. Nothing is too much bother for them and are eager to ensure your day goes faultlessly. The compliments from our guests on the food and the venue flooded in afterwards, they couldn't rate it highly enough. The bar staff were also brilliant and no one had to wait for their next G&T or beer! We can't thank everyone at The Wharf enough for making our day so special - especially Barbara, for making the whole organisation so easy. We definitely know where we will be celebrating our wedding anniversaries for years to come.The compliments from our guests on the food and the venue flooded in afterwards, they couldn't rate it highly enough. The bar staff were also brilliant and no one had to wait for their next G&T or beer! Any small changes weren't a problem at all for her and she always made sure I had the latest plan sent back to me promptly. On the day the venue looked absolutely stunning and exactly how we had planned it. The staff were incredible, the Manager for the evening made sure we had a drink in our hands all night; whether that was a glass of champagne or a glass of water. The food was absolutely incredible, and the staff ensured everyone's food was served promptly and pipping hot.Any small changes weren't a problem at all for her and she always made sure I had the latest plan sent back to me promptly. The Wharf made our wedding party absolutely amazing. It was the best experience we have ever had, it will stay with us forever. From the first conversations with Barbara - she made it all so easy. She listened to what we wanted to achieve, she helped make the best recommendations on the food and wine and for all the little extra details like the party lights, pianist etc, she made sure I had the contact details to hand. Any small changes weren't a problem at all for her and she always made sure The Wharf made our wedding party absolutely amazing. I work as a recommended cake supplier at The Wharf several times a year. The team (Debbie & KP particularly) are fantastic and I absolutely love working with them! A professional, friendly and personal approach and all my clients have echoed such positive experiences. A lovely venue for a wedding reception or have an event with the added bonus of access by river and river views. Just wanted to thank everyone at the Wharf for a fantastic night. Everything went very well, and your team of staff were great, special mention to the gentleman who looked after us for the duration of the evening, he was very attentive, wonderful service.
