You’re engaged! Now it’s time to start planning and thinking about the best day of your life – the best day of your lives! The Welcombe provides you with an ideal venue to hold your day. We are licensed for civil ceremonies, and we have a choice of four function suites to suit all tastes. We guarantee that your experience will be as unique as the both of you.
At The Welcombe we provide you with first class and professional service, paying attention to the smallest of details so you don’t have to. Located among 157 acres of amazing grounds, our venue gives you a magical backdrop for your wedding day. With a historic, yet romantic setting that is dripping in elegance and romance, each photo will be a jaw-dropping reminder of every perfect moment.
We can also accommodate civil ceremonies in our on-site banqueting suites which can accommodate from 40– 160 guests. We have four function rooms available that provide you with stylish settings for your dinner and reception. With 85 bedrooms, including modern apartments and traditional four poster chambers, your guests don’t have to leave early before the last dance!
Our helpful and knowledgeable wedding coordinator, Mihaela, understands how much planning there is to do when you are arranging the perfect wedding day, which is why they will be on hand to ensure that organising your day here at The Welcombe Hotel is as easy as it can be.

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Make decisions on what you want as a couple. A lot of couples tend to lose their desires in planning their day as they have so many other guests and elements to think of. Keep yours and your partners desires at the front of your minds :)
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
I really love the music for weddings - each song always means something to the couple and seeing how they react to the song in the moment is stunning.
I also really like the personal cards some couples give as place cards with either a memory of them and the person or a compliment to them. It makes everyone feel loved on this special day.
