Description
The Wedding Barn at Old Hall is a beautiful Grade II listed Suffolk barn which has recently been restored to its original glory. The main body of the barn provides a picturesque wedding venue, whilst one of its wings doubles up as The Bauble Barn, our seasonal family-run Christmas tree and decoration shop, which was opened in November 2019. Rurally located and nestled next to the pretty village of Steeple Bumpstead, The Wedding Barn creates the perfect backdrop to your most magical and special day.
Catering for weddings of up to 100 guests, The Wedding Barn offers both indoor and outdoor areas to enjoy - the barn itself can house a ceremony, wedding breakfast and dancefloor, with a built-in bar area that leads onto a private courtyard so that the celebrations can continue outside.
At The Wedding Barn we accept a limited number of bookings throughout the summer months so that the space and grounds are allowed to ‘rest’ and not become overused, making for a pristine canvas for your wedding day. The hire period is from 9am the day before your wedding until midday the day after your wedding, giving you plenty of time to decorate the space to your heart’s desire.

The hire fee includes tables and chairs for up to 120 people, an outdoor courtyard area, use of our beautiful orchard and grounds, an in-house bar, the dance floor and overnight parking. The venue is available for weekend weddings throughout the summer months (May - September).

The venue itself is truly beautiful, nestled in the heart of the Suffolk countryside - it’s everything you could want for a barn location wedding. As the venue is dry hire we were able to select our own suppliers for the day, but the careful crafted list of recommended suppliers from the venue made it so easy. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. The flowers were perfect, the food was stunning, the decor was amazing. We really did have the best day of our life! Big thanks to Georgie who was always on hand for questions, reassurance and guidance whilst planning our wedding. We had our wedding at the Wedding Barn in September 2022 and it was the perfect day. It was the most perfect day, in an utterly beautiful setting. We always wanted to make our wedding our own so finding the barn so close to home was a massive bonus. Georgie’s recommendations for suppliers made the whole wedding planning experience so easy, and that meant the day come together with ease. Full of rustic charm, but with up to date facilities its certainly a must view for couples looking for a wedding venue. Firstly the barn is one of the most beautiful barns I have seen as a wedding venue, secondly the support from Georgie and her family was wonderful & made planning our wedding so much easier. We got married in late April 2022 and were lucky to have some sunshine so we could use the outside space & courtyard for our drinks reception but either way the barn had plenty of space for our 100 guests and it's own dance & bar. Here are some images of what the barn looked like, nobody needs to see the dance moves of our friends & family!If you're thinking about having your wedding at The Wedding Barn, honestly we couldn't recommend it enough. It was SO worth the wait - the barn itself is just magnificent, so much bigger in person than in the photos. We had our actual wedding ceremony in the nearby church, and then the wedding reception at The Wedding Barn.
