The Weaving Shed

We knew the Weaving Shed was the venue we wanted for our wedding the first time we saw it. In the end it exceeded our high expectations and people have been raving about it ever since! Hamish and his staff were incredibly helpful. Not only did he support our choices and decisions, but he always seemed excited by them himself and did whatever he could to accommodate. We knew our guests like a party, so did have slight concerns that the bar might be quite small (nothing's worse than a wedding with long queues for drinks!), but Hamish assured us it would be fine and there was never more than a couple of people waiting to be served at any time. The acoustics were great for the celebrant and the band (they loved it too!) and the amazing ceremony room turned into a great play area for our 2 year old and her cousins- close enough that someone could always keep an eye on her, but far enough away that she could nap and have a great night herself without being disturbed... until she decided to join in the party anyway. A great place staffed by great people. Can't wait to come back to celebrate someone else's wedding there!

We would be back at The Weaving Shed every month to get married if we could. Everything was perfect. We couldn’t fault Hamish and his team one bit, our day was smooth as could be and nothing was too much to ask. We were looking for an open, blank canvas space of a venue that we could fill with our DIY decor. The Weaving Shed is the first one we looked at and it was a straight yes. It was also incredibly handy that it was so central, perfect for our guests getting to and from. We planned the wedding in just over five months and Hamish was ever so helpful. We really couldn’t recommend the venue more to anyone looking to get married.

As soon as we walked into The Weaving Shed we knew this is where we would be married! We love a bit of DIY and knew we would want to make all the decor and dress the place ourselves, although the venue itself is so full of character it really doesn’t need much. Hamish was so easy to work with and nothing was too much trouble for him, and the rest of the staff who were there on our day were all brilliant. Our guests absolutely loved the place, it was such a convenient location for our mostly Dundee based guests and so many of them couldn’t believe they hadn’t heard of The Weaving Shed before! Don’t think it will be a hidden gem for much longer. Thank you so much Hamish and all the team for making our day absolutely perfect for us.

We got married in The Weaving Shed in 2021 and it was the best wedding decision we made. The venue is such a great space with different areas for ceremony, meal and chilling out. Our guest absolutely raved about it. The owner & staff are amazing and we can't thank them enough for giving us the best day!

This was the only wedding venue my husband and I looked at, and as soon as we walked into the space we knew it was where we were going to get married! The space is incredible! There is so much space to work with and you are able to put your own spin on it. Hamish went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was perfect. We can’t recommend The Weaving Shed and Hamish enough. It is a really special venue.

We have catered a few weddings at The Weaving Shed and we absolutely love the open style of the venue. Plenty of areas to set up a variety of serving options like buffets as well as large bespoke tables for table service. Hamish and his team are a delight to work with and very accommodating. We love to see this venue being chosen by our clients!

We had the best experience at The Weaving Shed for our wedding last year. A truely special space and a hidden gem! Hamish and his team made sure we had the most perfect day! If you’re looking for something different, where you can put your own spin on things, then this is definitely the place for you. The huge space allows you to style it as you like! We had food vans and a photo booth and it worked so well in the space! A whole year has passed since our special day and I have people now still telling me how anazing the day was!

We had our wedding at The Weaving Shed and Hamish and his team couldn’t be more helpful if they tried. This was the first venue myself and my wife went to view and we instantly fell in love with it all the exposed wooden beams and exposed brickwork were absolutely stunning and we didn’t really need more decorations as we believe the venue really speaks for itself. We were able to bring outside catering in and set up a kitchen in one of the back rooms the bar is very reasonably priced too! Thank

Our wedding here in December 2021 was amazing – the venue is simply enormous and is a blank canvas to decorate how you choose, however there are fairy lights and gorgeous wooden tables and benches available as a starting point. The exposed brickwork and beams mean you can get a rustic or barn feel, but with a city centre location that makes it ideal for transport and accommodation. The team couldn’t have been more helpful, friendly and welcoming. From the start we felt our wedding was in safe hands and that our day was special. We received so many compliments on the day and could not have been happier with our choice – would definitely recommend!

We were married in The Weaving Shed on August 14th 2021 and we could not have asked for a better venue. My partner and I viewed it way back before Hamish had even finished the renovations and I instantly fell in love. I always wanted to get married in a barn style venue but they were all so pricey so having this barn/industrial venue in the centre of town was absolutely perfect for us. It is so unique and like a wee hidden gem of a place and we had so many compliments on how amazing the place was on the day. The team are outstanding and so helpful and accommodating. We 100% recommend.
