He said a few lovely words about the bride and groom & generally kept an eye on the rest of the guests to make sure everyone was having a good time.The food served was buffet style, but I know they have a delicious & exotic menu when open. The building is charming with a historical element.Thanks to the owner, staff & chef for a wonderful evening.I will certainly be back to try more lovely, food.I attended the venue for a wedding & it was very warm and welcoming.The owner was a fantastic host. The staff done everything possible to make our stay a very special evening. They also served us some amazing food, the cleanliness of the hotel was to a very high standard. All in all everything about our stay there was perfect. Highly recommend this hotel for anybody wanting a good atmosphere and/or good food!I stayed at this hotel to celebrate the evening of my wedding. The rooms are well decorated and preserved as is the rest of the hotel. Family run, all members of the family introduced themselves offering suggestions regarding the specials on the menu that evening. Friendly staff in the bar making all guests feel welcome led to a great atmosphere throughout. Congratulations to Kim & Lilly on your wedding! There was nothing that was too much for Gez or his staff, they were accommodating throughout, in the build up to it they would talk to us, make sure that all the details were correct, same thing on the day Gez made sure it was just how we wanted it. Staff on the day were on point too, little things asked for were catered for. Thomas Paine hosted our wedding, and we could not have asked for a better venue or host. The rooms are fantastic and the food is lovely well worth a visit.its says on the chalkboard "arrive as guests leave as friends" couldn't be more true.
