At The Talbot we believe that planning a wedding shouldn’t be a stressful time at all. Let our experienced wedding manager help and guide you through each and every step. We understand that every single wedding is different and from the initial enquiry to your final detail meeting, we will listen to your requirements and make them become a reality. Our Surrey Barns provides the perfect place for an intimate ceremony under fairy lights and original 15th century beams for up to 70 guests. The Wisley Suite is the perfect room for your wedding breakfast, with high ceilings, chandeliers and plenty of natural daylight. In the evening watch this room transform to your reception room ready to party! The Talbot offers plenty of charm and character and together with our 43 bedrooms and a license for a civil ceremony, you can enjoy your whole day with us. No matter what the size or scale of your wedding, we have the flexibility to work with your budget and advise you how to make your day one that your family and friends will enjoy and be talking about for years. Due to a few other factors, we decided we didn’t want to wait and set our hearts on July 2025. Yes, we gave ourselves five months to plan a wedding. We viewed a couple of venues, and The Talbot was the second one we visited, but from the moment we arrived, it felt different. On the day we met Krystyna, I had honestly had one of the worst days and wasn’t in the head space to think about wedding planning at all. Within minutes, she completely turned that around. She has such a calm, reassuring presence and seemed to understand us as a couple almost instantly. As two middle children who aren’t used to being in the spotlight, it felt very strange focusing on what we wanted. Krystyna made that feel natural and comfortable. She was gentle, supportive, and quietly confident in guiding us, never pushy, always reassuring. She made everything feel possible and manageable, which meant more to us than she probably realises. We had our ceremony in the Barns and our wedding breakfast in Emma’s Lounge, with 20 of our closest family and friends. The spaces were absolutely beautiful and perfectly suited to an intimate celebration. The atmosphere was warm, romantic, and relaxed, exactly what we had hoped for. Krystyna let us know ahead of time that a new menu would be available, and there was so much to choose from. We’re so grateful we decided to stay the night before, as I was able to try both of our menu choices and the food was incredible. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavour. Our guests commented on how amazing everything was, and we were especially impressed with how thoughtfully the team catered for our gluten-free and vegan guests. Everyone felt included and well looked after, which was so important to us. The staff on the day were outstanding. Every single person was attentive, kind, and professional. Nothing was too much trouble. They made our guests feel welcome from the moment they arrived and ensured everything ran so smoothly. Because of them, we were able to fully relax and soak up every moment without worrying about a thing. Krystyna, thank you for everything you did for us. You were so caring and graceful in the way you looked after us throughout the whole process. We truly felt supported every step of the way. We wish you all the very best any couple would be so lucky to have you by their side. We loved the venue as soon as we saw it- it had a lovely feel to it and the barn area was stunning. Krystyna was brilliant from start to finish- she was so professional and organised but better yet so friendly and fun! We loved going to meet with her to plan our day- she was so helpful and lovely and it was clear she genuinely cared. Our day was so wonderful, I wish we could do it all over again! The Inn itself is a truly classic building, full of history, providing a beautiful foundation for our day. It was the perfect, cozy setting for our autumnal rustic wedding theme, especially the magnificent ceremony room with its wooden beams. The venue is full of character. Outside, the woodland areas and the gorgeous ivy changing colour—all those reds, oranges, and yellows—made for some truly amazing photos. Making sure the day ran seamlessly was the incredible Krystyna, who deserves a huge special thank you. She was so amazing during the planning stages and even more so on the day, ensuring everything was set up well and that everything went smoothly. We genuinely could not have done it without her calm, organised approach. The vendors we chose were equally outstanding. Our photographer captured some amazing shots and was excellent at capturing the autumnal theme. He was incredibly prompt, organised, and professional—a dream to work with! And for the evening reception, DJ2K was amazing at keeping the mood fun and making the night super enjoyable. He made the whole party super easy and stress-free because he was so knowledgable on the venue and systems they use. We didn't have to worry about a thing!
