At The Talbot we believe that planning a wedding shouldn’t be a stressful time at all. Let our experienced wedding manager help and guide you through each and every step. We understand that every single wedding is different and from the initial enquiry to your final detail meeting, we will listen to your requirements and make them become a reality. Our Surrey Barns provides the perfect place for an intimate ceremony under fairy lights and original 15th century beams for up to 70 guests. The Wisley Suite is the perfect room for your wedding breakfast, with high ceilings, chandeliers and plenty of natural daylight. In the evening watch this room transform to your reception room ready to party! The Talbot offers plenty of charm and character and together with our 43 bedrooms and a license for a civil ceremony, you can enjoy your whole day with us. No matter what the size or scale of your wedding, we have the flexibility to work with your budget and advise you how to make your day one that your family and friends will enjoy and be talking about for years. We honestly don’t know where to begin because there simply aren’t enough words to describe how incredible our wedding day was at The Talbot. From the very first time we visited, there was something about The Talbot that just felt right. We could immediately picture ourselves getting married there, but what ultimately made the experience so special wasn’t just the beautiful venue — it was the people. Throughout the planning process, we mainly dealt with Krystyna, and we genuinely cannot thank her enough. From our very first conversations right through to the weeks leading up to our wedding, she was absolutely fantastic. She was always approachable, incredibly helpful and so patient with us. No question was ever too much, no request was ever made to feel like a hassle, and whenever we needed reassurance, Krystyna was there. Planning a wedding comes with so many little details, decisions and things to think about, and having someone like Krystyna supporting you makes such a difference. She made us feel that our wedding wasn’t just another booking in the diary. She genuinely cared about our day and wanted everything to be exactly what we hoped it would be. Unfortunately, Krystyna was on annual leave when our wedding day arrived, which initially made us a little nervous because we’d built such a great relationship with her throughout the planning process. However, we needn’t have worried for a second. Arvind and Liv were absolutely incredible. From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in safe hands. They were attentive, calm, friendly and incredibly professional, but most importantly, they genuinely cared. They took everything in their stride and made sure that we didn’t have to worry about what was happening behind the scenes. That meant so much to us. You spend months — sometimes years — thinking about your wedding day. You plan every little detail, imagine what it will feel like and inevitably worry about all the things that could potentially go wrong. Then suddenly the day arrives, and you realise you don’t want to spend a single second worrying about whether everything is happening as it should. Arvind and Liv made that possible for us. They allowed us to simply be present. To enjoy the moment. To laugh, cry, dance and celebrate with the people we love. We didn’t have to worry about the timings, the food, the room, our guests or all the little things happening behind the scenes. We knew that Arvind and Liv had everything under control. And looking back, that is one of the greatest gifts a wedding venue can give you. The Talbot itself was beautiful and provided the perfect setting for our wedding. Seeing everything come together on the day was genuinely emotional. After spending so long imagining what it would look like, actually walking in and seeing everything we’d planned become a reality was a moment we’ll never forget. But what really made The Talbot special for us was the atmosphere created by the staff. Every person we encountered was friendly, welcoming and willing to help. Our guests commented on how lovely everyone was and how smoothly everything seemed to run. There was such a warm and relaxed feeling throughout the day, and it made everyone feel comfortable. We know that a huge amount of work must have been happening behind the scenes that we never saw. That’s the sign of a truly brilliant wedding team — when everything feels effortless to the couple because someone else is making sure it all happens. And that’s exactly how it felt. There were so many emotional moments throughout our day, and having people around us who were so reassuring and supportive made a bigger difference than they will probably ever realise. Arvind and Liv weren’t simply doing a job. They were helping us through one of the biggest and most emotional days of our lives. And Krystyna had already laid the foundations for that experience throughout all the months of planning. Together, they gave us something that is incredibly difficult to put a value on: complete trust. We trusted them. And they delivered. Our wedding day went by far too quickly, as everyone says it does, but when we look back now, we don’t remember worrying about anything. We remember the happiness, the laughter, the tears, the people we love and the incredible memories we made. That’s exactly what we wanted. We wanted to get married and actually enjoy our wedding. The Talbot gave us that. We will always have a huge amount of affection for The Talbot because it isn’t simply the place where we got married. It is now part of our story and part of some of the happiest memories we will ever have. After viewing multiple venues looking for that rustic vibe with lots of character when we entered the Talbot Inn we were finally greeted with a location that had everything we needed in one place with a realistic value for money. We were sold on the beautiful details of the barn and the main building and overjoyed that we wouldn't have to cart our families around to multiple locations in order to provide a ceremony, reception and accommodation. My husband and I got married at the Talbot and from the open day to the menu tasting and then our big day everything was smooth and perfect! Krystyna is such a warm, helpful and organised person we immediately fell in love with her personality and the beautiful venue! Unbelievable value for money! All our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was! I wish I could redo it all again! We did our own decor, the photos speak for themselves! Some chair sashes and a floral hoop did the job as wellMy husband and I got married at the Talbot and from the open day to the menu tasting and then our big day everything was smooth and perfect! The Surrey Barns have a lovely feel to them and you can largely personalise as you wish. Guests can stay at the venue in great rooms that cater for all needs. All the staff are lovely and Krystyna is the perfect wedding coordinator - helpful and organised yet relaxed and understanding of your vision.
