The Salix Yurts

wow what can I say! The salix yurts was the first venue we ever looked at last year and we fell in love immediately and saved a date there and then with the amazing James, With our original day pretty much planned out and sorted by February 2020 covid then happened. After such a stressful few months not knowing if we would be able to use our beautiful venue weddings were back on again 1 week before our day! we want to say a HUGE thank you to Lee at louisianna weddings who has been an absolute legend throughout this crazy year and being so positive and reassuring throughout.. the hard work and effort put in, with only one week to go- making sure everything was covid secure and within guidance but also making sure we all had a great time still you all made it look so easy when I know alot of hard work was put in. it was simply amazing from start to finish and we most certainly will book for another night there again. from the bottom of our hearts thank you it was simply perfect ❤

We had our wedding at The Salix Yurts and it was just the most incredible venue. Thank you so much to James, Lee and all the rest of the wonderful Louisiana's gang! They were extremely accomodating and helpful, even when we threw in some wildcards like "is it ok if we have archery?" (went down an absolute storm with all of the guests and thankfully nobody died). Honestly just can't big these guys up enough, wonderful people who just couldn't do enough to ensure that we had the best day. All of the love, Dan and Sarah x

We have the pleasure of being the bar provider for this venue and it is definitely one of our favourites to be at. Unique, quirky, intimate yet great atmosphere! Couples we meet are ones who are looking for something a little less traditional and want a more relaxed informal atmosphere. They certainly get that here!

What an amazing wedding planning team! James and Lee supported us right through our planning and lead up to our wedding and nothing was too much trouble. Our wedding at the Salix Yurts couldn't have more like we had dreamt of and a big part of this was down to these guys! James your support on Friday getting the wedding venue sorted really was amazing and you went the extra mile to get / do what ever we needed! On Saturday, the day of our wedding, James made sure all my requests to turn on lights, put flowers on tables outside etc were done and I had compete trust I would arrive at our reception and he would have everything in check, I was so right, he was stood smiling with our arrival drinks and he and the bar team (Lousianna mobile bars) continued to support us all day and night. Truly Amazing! Thank you xxxx

As the celebrant from Starr Gazing Ceremonies, I’ve had the honour of performing wedding ceremonies at the Salix Yurts venue. The Yurts create a brilliant atmosphere and the surrounding facilities mean that everything that you need is all in one place including catering, camping facilities and the brilliant Louisianna Bars! The staff are superb and go out of their way to ensure that a high standard of hospitality is maintained throughout the day. Being so close to York means that is is perfect for accommodation and transport. I love working at this venue and love the staff!
