The Royal Bath Hotel opened its doors in 1838, making it the first, and oldest, hotel in Bournemouth. Having served guests for almost 200 years, throughout that time we have also hosted The Empress Eugenie of France, the King and Queen of Sweden, along with the famous author Oscar Wilde. Our venue is fit for royalty, and now we offer it to you as the perfect space to host an opulent wedding and start your marriage with a touch of luxury!
The spaces we have to offer include:
The 'Secret Garden' Gazebo which is perfect for outdoor ceremonies, with space for 60 guests and a stones throw from the beach.
The Beautiful Bayview Suite for indoor ceremonies of up to 60 guests, with sweeping sea views and lots of natural light.
Our 'Oscars' Restaurant, coined after Oscar Wilde, is a beautiful intimate space for smaller receptions of up to 40.
The Kings Hall, originally built as a 1920s Dance hall, can host your ceremony and a reception of an impressive 250 guests!
This coastal hotel offers 3 different bars for your event; our Main Bar with grand pillars and magnificent high ceilings, the cosy and intimate 1838 Lounge, or the Kings Bar, situated off of the Kings Hall and available for your exclusive private use.
A number of beautiful suite options are available for our happy couples, as well as their closest friends & family.
Finally, our venue houses a Health & Leisure centre with a heated indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, gym, and a café which overlooks the pier. This is the perfect place for you and your bridesmaids to relax, and decompress before your big day.
The Royal Bath Hotel boasts breath-taking views of Bournemouth Beaches and Pier, is a Grade II listed building, and is licensed for both Weddings & Civil Ceremonies.
An intimate wedding of 40 people in our vintage Oscar's Suite, it's rare to see every guest on the dancefloor singing together. Smaller weddings can be just as beautiful and memorable!
Book a venue who has a dedicated Co-ordinator/Consultant that will work with you throughout, including on your special day! (Pro-tip: designate your coordinator/ maid of honour as the go-to for all questions so that you can relax without stress before your ceremony)
An old letter written from the bride's mum to her before she passed away was sewn into the seam of her wedding dress. Beautiful!
