Facilities and Capacity
The Royal Bath Hotel & Spa welcomes you, and up to 250 guests, to hold the ceremony and wedding breakfast of your dreams. During a tour of the venue, your dedicated wedding coordinator will help you select the perfect space for each milestone of your day. There are multiple areas licensed for civil ceremonies, including the King's Hall, the Bay View Suite, and the dreamy Secret Garden. Blissfully wed, you can pop a bottle of champagne in the gardens and let your guests mingle as you snap photos with your new spouse. If you're looking for a wedding breakfast full of grandeur and luxury, the King's Hall is up for the task. Its soaring curved ceiling, grand chandeliers, and vintage aesthetic will make a lasting impression on your guests. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
An intimate wedding of 40 people in our vintage Oscar's Suite, it's rare to see every guest on the dancefloor singing together. Smaller weddings can be just as beautiful and memorable!
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Book a venue who has a dedicated Co-ordinator/Consultant that will work with you throughout, including on your special day! (Pro-tip: designate your coordinator/ maid of honour as the go-to for all questions so that you can relax without stress before your ceremony)
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
An old letter written from the bride's mum to her before she passed away was sewn into the seam of her wedding dress. Beautiful!

What is your venue's most unique feature?
Our history, The Royal Bath Hotel has been open for 187 years and is Bournemouth's oldest hotel and first wedding venue! Our 1920s Kings Hall can hold up to 300 guests, with a gorgeous grand staircase, it's ceiling measures over 10 metres in height!
What part of your business are you most proud of?
I am most proud of our Wedding and Events team. We are a dedicated pair who have a joint experience of over 30 years delivering bespoke events. It brings us a great joy to plan and tailor events down to the finest detail and to implement those events with precision within our gorgeous venue!
