The Post Barn is fully licensed for civil ceremonies and offers flexible spaces to suit your guest list:
- Ceremony: Up to 150 guests
- Sit-down Wedding Breakfast: Between 20 and 150 guests
- Evening Reception: Up to 220 guests
- On-site Dressing Room
- Bar, mezzanine and main barn with floor-to-ceiling Crittal windows & doors
- Upper and Lower Lawns, rose-arch walkway, patio and outdoor kitchen
- Located in the grounds of Donnington & Co. Hotel with 111 bedrooms, spa, health club, restaurant and golf course
Ceremonies
Licensed for ceremonies inside and out, The Post Barn hosts weddings, receptions and religious fire ceremonies for up to 150 guests. Say 'I do' under our stunning vaulted ceiling in the barn or outside on the Upper or Lower Lawn. Celebrate with up to 150 daytime guest and up to 220 guests for an evening reception.

We love creating bespoke, seasonal dishes using locally sourced produce. The OutPost, our outdoor kitchen, is perfect for evening grazing with a rotisserie, pizza oven and BBQ in the summer.

Black-tie styling, with bursts of colour. The vibe? Personal, completely epic, and just *tons* of fun! We had gorgeous modern styling from an absolute dream team of suppliers. There were Baby Guinness shots, a champagne tower, and a champagne spray! Every moment was considered; every guest was cared-for. And as night fell, Club Kudo brought the energy, and a wild party filled the barn. Lucy and Chris’ wedding in Post Barn Newbury, was hands down one of my favourite weddings! The aesthetic? From start to finish we felt so looked after and everyone who attended commented on how attentive and professional the team were. The food was insane and I don’t think any of our guests went hungry! Kyle, the Operations Manager, and his team were exceptional. They were calm, efficient, and always one step ahead. Kyle described the day as being like "The Princess Diaries”, which honestly summed it up perfectly. The operations team felt like having our own secret service; everything was seamless and impeccably run.From the moment the day began, we were looked after with what can only be described as military-level precision. The single most critical decision of our wedding planning process was to book the Post Barn as our venue. From the moment that arrived to the property for a tour, we knew it was the right place - modern yet classic and surrounded by green space and stunning gardens. And then when our guests got to experience it on our wedding day - they all told us the exact same. They say that at the Post it’s personal and I couldn’t agree with that more. They ensured we had the best day of our lives and helped us customise it as well so it truly felt like OUR day. From the planning process where they helped guide us through what we needed to have done by when, to helping to liaise with our vendors in the immediate run up to the day, and then making us feel so incredibly looked after on the wedding day - I can’t emphasise how important the Post Barn team were to helping us achieve the wedding of our dreams. We really floated through the day with no concerns because we knew the team was on top of it. And then I also need to sing the praises for the food (we’ve had guests tell us that it was genuinely the best wedding food they’ve ever had), our experience coming to do the tasting ahead of time, the cocktails, the service staff, etc. The whole day was executed flawlessly. The biggest, most heart felt thank yous to the whole team at the Post Barn - Kate, Daisy, etc. You all are incredible. Thanks for giving us the best day of our lives. The venue is absolutely stunning, the grounds beautiful and perfect for photographs, the food service was seamless, and all the guests could not stop talking about the quality of the food and how fantastic the venue was. Katie was AMAZING, flexible and supportive....and the layout of the room/tables/cutlery etc was breath taking. The team really were able to find a solution to every need, and the facilities are wonderful. Thank you so much again!My husband and I had our reception at The Post Barn on the 6th November.
