This secluded oasis is located on the Blagdon Estate in Northumberland but only 10 minutes’ drive north of Newcastle. Tie the knot in our stunning converted Smithy and then enjoy relaxing with your nearest and dearest in the landscaped gardens and beautiful Willow Room. Our award-winning wedding and events team have a wealth of knowledge and expert hands-on experience which will help you plan and organise your perfect wedding. A rustic, romantic setting with superb food, the highest levels of service, crisp white linen, charming and intimate surroundings make this countrified location the perfect venue. We want to ensure you enjoy every stage of planning your wedding. We aim to make planning as stress free as possible, with a choice menu and resident DJ included we are here to help you with every step along the way.

The staff were super accomodating and lovely throughout the whole process of our wedding planning up till the wedding. We both agree that our wedding couldn’t have been more perfect! The attention to detail and friendliness of all of the staff was commendable. Each and every one of them did everything to make sure that our wedding went the way we wanted it. Thank you so so much to everyone at The Parlour at Blagdon for the wedding of our dreams ❤️The Parlour at Blagdon was the perfect wedding venue for us! On the day any concerns I had were dealt with promptly, the lovely lady we had on the day made sure I was okay and looked after my little girl as if she was her own ! Honestly could not recommend this place anymore, staff are lovely, polite, accommodating, friendly and the venue is GORGEOUS! The team at the parlour were amazing! From start to finish they made the whole process stress free! On the day any concerns I had were dealt with promptly, the lovely lady we had on the day made sure I was okay and looked after my little girl as if she was her own ! Honestly could not recommend this place anymore, staff are lovely, polite, accommodating, friendly and the venue is GORGEOUS!
- NNicole & Jeff22/05/2025Wow! The perfect day!Wow! The perfect day!When we visited the Parlour at Blagdon myself and my Husband(!) both looked at each other and just nodded. We knew as soon as we walked into the courtyard that this was the place for us. Order of the day I had the opportunity to stay in the house with my girls the night before. It was so relaxed! We arrived at around 3pm, got our bearings and began to set up all of my crazy DIY. We booked in a 2 course meal and staff were on site with us to offer assistance. On the morning of I had a lovely breakfast and started to get ready for our ceremony at 1:30pm. (Perfect time). Our photographer and videographer arrived and got some picturesque shots at the rear of the house. Think prosecco sprays, bridesmaids in robes and of course father/bride reveal once I was dressed! We were blessed with glorious weather after burying a sausage the night before so we had a dream come true of an outdoor ceremony. I walked down the aisle to greet my handsome man and say I Do! A few have asked about the road noise but I honestly didn’t hear a thing, however, as with any outdoor wedding around half of our 70 guests didn’t quite hear our vows. We walked back down that aisle being showered in confetti as husband and wife! On to the food. We opted for the BBQ for day guests. Wow! No one was left hungry! It was served from the shack outside and initially I was worried that some would be finished before others had even started but it worked so well. It was so relaxed and the staff were great at catering for allergies and making sure all went smoothly. For our evening food we opted for Street food, Bao buns and dirty fries. It was again served from the shack but we were so busy soaking up every little moment we didn’t realise! Our guests said it was amazing though and there was definitely enough for everyone. Staff popped it to the side and guests just helped themselves as the night went on. The venue was perfect for best of both worlds when it came to seating. Guests dispersed between the stables bar, the willow room and courtyard. I’d absolutely recommend having both bars open throughout! No one waited for a drink all day/night. We had an extra 10-15 guests join us for the evening and space wasn’t an issue. We requested the patio heaters for the evening and it definitely set it off outside on the evening with such a lovely atmosphere. The resident DJ kept the party going whilst others chatted outside. As the venue is exclusive use we could totally relax knowing that all of our favourite people were in one place and of course I wasn’t bumping into random people or worse another bride! It is also great for children as it’s all quite enclosed, so easy to keep eyes on them. All in all we are so impressed by The Parlour at Blagdon and can’t thank them enough for making our day as special as it was! Throughout the process and on the day the staff were simply outstanding. The venue and accommodation was immaculate, the food (and drink) were excellent and the social party arrangements were to everyone’s complete satisfaction. On the day and later on social media everyone there commented on just how much they enjoyed themselves and how impressed they were with the venue facilities, the professionalism of the staff and the quality of the food. At breakfast the following morning the subject of our first wedding anniversary celebrations was raised and we decided upon a venue-The Parlour.It’s hard to put into words just how much we enjoyed our wedding day. - CChloe & Jordan27/01/2025What a beautiful venueWhat a beautiful venueWhere to start, we fell in love with this venue from the initial show around we knew we wanted to get married here all the contact for the venue was dealt throught the brilliant sale team who help us with all our questions and enquiries once the day of the wedding come all the amazing staff were to there to help with anything that we needed would just like to say a big hats off to the chefs the food was amazing and especially they accommodated us especially me and my husband who are really fussy Eaters all our guests complimented the food how brilliant it was especially the wood fire pizzas they were to die for. The perfect venue!After looking at a few venues we decided on the parlour at Blagdon and from the moment we arrived to first view the venue till we left the day after our wedding we were made to feel welcome, nothing we asked was too big of an ask and the amazing staff at the parlour went above and beyond to make our day everything we hoped for and more! The planning process was made so easy and relaxed, the night before staying in the beautiful house we were made to feel so welcome and at home and every minute of our big day we were looked after to the point where we didn’t have to think about anything but enjoying being in the moment! We can’t thank the fantastic team at the parlour enough for making our day one we will never forget!
