The Orchid Hotel is newly refurbished making it the perfect enchanting venue for truly unique wedding. The modern and contemporary function rooms are designed with couples in mind. We are licensed for civil ceremonies and offer a choice of indoor and outdoor settings accommodating any special request, meaning the whole day can be spent at the delightful hotel.
The Orchid can cater for all sized weddings. Our smaller function room is perfect for an intimate occasion, with all your close friends and family, with doors leading onto the beautiful and quaint courtyard.
We can also cater for bigger weddings, and we offer a larger function room which is ideal for this. The room can accommodate 100 people for a wedding breakfast and 160 for a reception.
The beautiful courtyard offers pergola and is perfectly romantic for a garden wedding.
Exclusive use of the hotel is also available for those who want the privacy and special touch of exclusive hire. Imagine 31 bedrooms, the whole place and all of our friendly and attentive staff at hand to ensure the most elegant day for you and your guests.
Every part of your special day is tailor made at The Orchid Hotel, including the menu and venue styling.

The hotel had everything we needed and more for our special day. I can't recommend them enough.. Helen, George and all of the other staff did a great job in ensuring the day went smoothly from start to finish. Everything from the presentation of the lovely Paloma Suite and Aurelia Suite to the food served during the wedding breakfast was brilliant. Attention to detail was on point and everything went seamlessly thanks to everyone working on that day. The wedding breakfast, canapes and evening buffet were all lovely. We had a fantastic day and the staff were great. All of the rooms we reserved for wedding guests were very well presented and clean. The Master Room was lovely and very comfortable. The feedback from our family was stunning and we all loved this venue. This hotel is a perfect place to host a wedding celebration. We have made some wonderful memories from the day and we certainly could not be happier. We would happily relive the day over and over again. We look forward to returning to the hotel and restaurant, we would definitely recommend. And im really glad I did, as the Orchid was AMAZING! Helen and all the staff did everything they could to help us feel at ease from the off. All the planning was made simple for us, and some of our special requirements were met with minimal fuss or hassle. Our families and guests all loved the decor and even though the weather was terrible (we mean really, really bad) all day it was still the perfect venue as everyone mingled indoors. We cant thank everyone there enough and have got lots of happy memories of our special day :-) As with all sensible grooms, I let the bride have maximal control and governance over the choice of venue. In the build up to the day we were completely supported with meetings, phone calls and emails and all our requests were listened to. A wedding can be stressful but the entire staff made us feel like we were the most important. On the actual day they kept us calm (nice gin and tonic sent to the bride whilst he ready) and all our guests felt very welcomed.The staff at The Orchid were amazing from start to finish.
