Great care has been taken to preserve the unique character and charm of this historic barn structure. The Forest Room is the venue’s main function room, accommodating up to 100 guests for your ceremony and reception, then holding up to 160 for evening partying!
Organically evolving since The Oaks first opened it's doors, our latest show stopping features include a breath-taking shack that overlooks our natural pond, making for stunning photos.
Earthy tones and materials are used throughout the buildings quirky shape and structure to compliment hundreds of years worth of history. A huge hand-crafted stone fireplace keeps The Forest Room cosy during the winter months and The Log Barn Ceremony room, true to it's name, has a wall of split logs in pallets. As a working farm, not only does it offer a fantastic backdrop but also heats the log burners and woodland BBQ/Grill.

Our couples are not just numbers on a page, they become part of The Oaks story and family. As we don't do back-to-back weddings, we don't have any need to usher couples in and out. Instead, they are welcome to come the day before their big day to peacefully venue dress, drop the wedding dress off in the bridal boutique (if you choose to hire it) and bring their vision to life, in a stress-free environment. The day after the wedding, visit us up to 11am to collect decor, wedding gifts and vehicles. Let's savour the memorable moments from start to finish.
We also hold two weddings fayres a year where we cherish getting to see our couples plot and plan their wedding day, catch up on the gossip and showcase all The Oaks has to offer, along with delicious canapés and treats handed out throughout the day by our multi award winning in-house caterers.
We embrace change and fully accept a 3 course sit down meal may not be your thing. Our delicious menu offers everything from a sociable help yourself style buffet, cooked before you in our woodland BBQ, to rustic pie & mash!
Or create your own bespoke fine dining experience with all the trimmings, the choice is yours.
We have a wide range of recommended suppliers, available to see via our online brochure. From DJ's, florists, wedding cake and dessert tables to make up artists. We love to work closely with our fantastic, recommended suppliers to ensure a smooth wedding day. You are also welcome to use your own suppliers.
There is long list of included items and services when booking The Oaks. From a dedicated wedding planner, cake stand, post box and mass of atmospheric twinkling lights to 40-60 glasses of complimentary prosecco on the day to toast your celebration of love!

This was perfect as it allowed us to be completely relaxed on our wedding day, not having to worry about sorting anything at the end of the night. There are probably too many things I could manage to mention so I've tried to list a few of the key highlights for us. The first is the venue location itself, set in a stunning countryside location surrounded by woodland, fields and the lake, its just perfect. Furthermore, the building itself is beautiful and fabulously maintained. I'd also like to add that everything was spotless. This includes the venue itself, the outside, the furniture and decor, and the bar, glasses etc. The team were great and there were many staff on hand to help for our day. Julie, Rianna and a number of other team members were present throughout the whole day ensuring the specifics of the day went perfectly to plan. We opted for the additional foliage package and it was definitely worth it. Rianna is incredibly skillful with these decorations on the tables, foliage archway and ceremony decorations were perfect. I could also see how much effort and time was put into organising these and it was really much appreciated and it all looks fantastic on the photos. The partnership with Ridgway Caterers definitely works! We received so much feedback from guests about how much they loved both the wedding breakfast and the evening food. I think it helps that there is a long-standing relationship between the venue and the caterers that makes this whole process absolutely seamless. We'd also like to thank the team for making our dream of and outside woodland wedding come true. We felt like they were as excited and invested in making this happen for us as we were and it was just beautiful! It was also great to have the opportunity to go to the venue the day before to set up and not have to worry about collecting all our things at the end of the night as we could go back the next day to collect these (we had manage to accumulate a lot of things over the day and the team did a great job of collating everything for us to collect the next morning). I can't not leave a review without mentioning the swings and the alpacas! I think a lot of the adult guests had as much fun swinging away and getting snaps of the alpacas as my two year old niece did! We had a fantastic day in an amazing venue. They communicated everything and were so helpful and understanding. In the lead up, I arranged to go in and trial some table decor ideas which was super helpful. We had a meeting to run through the order of the day about a month before which helped to put us at ease before the day. Rianna and Julie made every step of the planning process a dream. On the day, Anna was the venue coordinator and made everything so easy and the day ran so smoothly.
