With capacity to seat 140 guests and 240 standing guests and the stunning location in our secret walled garden, it perfectly complements the hotel and gives you the whole package for all elements of your special day.
The Norfolk Mead holds a wedding license, so we can host your civil ceremony in our dedicated events venue, The Garden Room, within our walled garden, or alternatively we can host more intimate ceremonies in the Georgian Room in the main hotel.
We are licensed to perform civil marriages and are specialists in diversity and have an inclusive approach tailored to all our couples.
Our Executive Chef and their team will work with you individually to create your perfect wedding day menu. From exquisite canapés to an elaborate three course wedding breakfast, the delicious food reflects the 2AA rosette standard of the hotel’s restaurant. The food offered is exceptional, with menus designed around fresh, locally sourced, quality ingredients from the finest farms and markets in Norfolk ensuring every guest enjoys restaurant-quality food.

From when we first visited the venue we fell in love. Beautiful grounds and venue, we couldn’t love a place more if we tried. From start to finish the day was PERFECT. Frankie and Francesca were amazing. They made sure they kept in contact with you throughout the day and nothing was to much trouble. The food was absolutely amazing and we had so many compliments on how lovely it all was. I couldn’t recommend The Norfolk Mead enough!Me and my husband got married at The Norfolk Mead. The wedding planners and kitchen staff were very professional, courteous for the whole day. We had a BBQ reception ( highly recommended) the food was excellent everyone of our guests commented on the high quality of the food , service and venue. The gardens are very well kept and superb for wedding photographs. Well done Norfolk Mead. We had our wedding ceremony and reception in the garden room of the Norfolk mead hotel. There was not much more to say other than that from start to finish, the whole team were perfect! We dealt with Frankie and Francesca both were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make our day as special as possible! No question was too much trouble and I asked a lot of them!! A score of 10/10 doesn’t even seem to do it justice! I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for their dream wedding venue!We had our wedding at this gorgeous venue at the end of June! There was not much more to say other than that from start to finish, the whole team were perfect! We dealt with Frankie and Francesca both were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make our day as special as possible! No question was too much trouble and I asked a lot of them!! Frankie, Danni and Francesca have been brilliant from the beginning. So professional and organised . Nothing is too much trouble . They are knowledgeable and helpful and very calm . The venue setting is beautiful . The food and wines were amazing ! Staff were efficient and friendly . We really had the most wonderful wedding !!! Definitely 5 stars !!! My husband and I had our wedding there recently in The Garden room and honestly think we could not have picked a better venue. Frankie and Danni and the rest of the events team were a joy to work with to plan our perfect day. All of our guests stayed at the hotel too and everyone said how wonderful the rooms were. We stayed there for the whole of our wedding weekend and the room, food and customer service was outstanding. We will definitely be visiting again! We love The Norfolk Mead Hotel. We had our wedding coordinators on hand all day & they were superb. We were pleasantly surprised at the portion sizes of the welcome drinks & all the food served, we opted for the bbq option & everything was cooked to perfection. Including the dietary requirements. If you are looking for a perfect wedding I highly recommend The Norfolk Mead for your special day!We recently (July2023) had our wedding day at the Norfolk Mead. What was said in person often differed to what was said in email so make sure you get everything in writing. Looked round a few others but none matched the ideal location on the water, modern/ contemporary feel, outstanding food, and price of The Norfolk Mead Hotel. The staff were very friendly and extremely organised, tended to my every question and need. Choice of food was incredible with optional tasting. We went for the formal BBQ menu which was a really nice balance between the formality of table plans etc but the relaxed feel and bloody good food! All guests commented on how tasty the food was along with how gorgeous the venue and the garden was. Gardens and area down by the river were stunning for photos. I also like that I didn't have to worry about a thing on the day, everything was taken care of so I could just relax and enjoy the day. We also opted for a tiered cheese wheel and biscuit arrangement instead of a wedding cake which is an excellent idea and Anna arranged beautifully for us. They even have treatment rooms at the hotel with tailor-made packages for your beauty treats leading up to the big day! The staff here are incredible, this goes to the reception staff, housekeeping, the waiters/waitresses, bar staff and the wedding planners they literally can't do enough for you. You will also never have a bad meal here the food is amazing and our friends and family were extremely impressed. In terms of our day we couldn't thank Victoria and Francesca enough (the wedding organisers) for making are day run so smoothly. If you needed anything they were there, nothing was too much trouble and they were just lovely girls to have make our day go perfectly.
