Our professional events team is headed up by Lisa, the Events Manager, who works closely with Katie Taylor MBE (owner). Whether it’s a wedding, corporate or private party, the team has a wealth of experience and shares Katie’s passion, values and attention to detail. From your initial enquiry through to event, you can rest assured that we will deliver a personal service, with creative expertise.
Catering is offered for up to 150 seated dining guests, and up to 200 evening guests, with our own in-house team of chefs who are proud to deliver exceptional food and service, with creative, seasonal and delicious menus.
The Drewton Estate is privately owned with 1200 acres of farmland and woodland on the edge of the famous Yorkshire Wolds in the East Riding of Yorkshire. It is home to the award-winning Drewton’s Farm Shop and boasts delightful residential properties, including two five-star holiday cottages.
With stunning views, guests are wowed by the beautiful location, overlooking the fields and hills, where they can sit under the stars and enjoy the Boma outdoor seating area and fire pit, which is a nod to the Taylor family’s love of Africa.
The Manor Rooms has been sympathetically built with luxurious interiors, ticking the box for both rustic and elegant themes. The venue features fabulous chandeliers and lighting; exposed stone walls; bespoke upholstered chairs; a choice of table and seating design; and a wood floor with underfloor heating, bringing the beautiful countryside to the interiors.

Thank you so much to Lisa & all the team for making our wedding day the most perfect day we could have ever wished for. We can’t put into words how seamless our day felt and everything was utterly perfect. Guests however were left in a food coma by how amazing the food were and due to how nice it was they were unable to stop eating it, so suits and dresses soon became a little tight on the dance floor. Nothing was too much trouble for Lisa, i’m a control freak and she answered all my 100 questions. Lisa was also amazing at reading the room and suggesting we move things back timing wise to give our guests the best experience too which was lovely and made it feel more relaxed. I can’t find a single thing wrong with The Manor Room, or lisa or the team we just wish we could re live the day again. Thank you again for making our dreams come true. Everyone involved captured our ideas perfectly and Katy and the Manor Rooms team were ultra professional, friendly and delivered utter perfection. They created a perfect atmosphere of calm and excitement and could not have organised our day any better than they did. The venue and every last detail was utterly stunning. All of our guests commented on how wonderful it was and everyone enjoyed the food. It was delicious! The accommodation next door was also spotless and had everything we needed to make our weekend extra special. We do not regret a single thing and I wish we could relive the whole day again. Right from the first conversations we had with the venue (before we had even booked), we could tell that we were working with an extremely high quality and professional venue. I am overwhelmed with gratitude for how effortless the staff made our special day. Even on the day itself, there must have been so much for them to think about and do- they were consistently professional, enthusiastic and smooth. I could not have had such a romantic, stylish, fun and EASY wedding if it wasn't for the experience and hard work of all the staff at The Manor Rooms. If there had been any problems, I will never know because the whole day ran so smoothly from our perspective which is exactly as it should be. I never felt pressured, judged, rushed, nervous or overwhelmed. I could feel that everything was in place and had been considered so carefully. As this as this, even though The Manor Rooms has been a successful venue for a while, I truly felt that the staff were not jaded or desensitised to weddings- they made us feel that our wedding was really important to them. I can't stress enough what an outstanding and world class service we have received both on our wedding day and in the planning. The beauty of the venue, the kindness and professionalism of all staff, the incredibly high quality of the food & drinks... There are too many things to be grateful for. What definitely helped was that The Manor Rooms clearly had such an established reputation of being a high quality venue that a lot of our entertainment/ vendors had been there before & had brilliant relationships with the venue; it was clear that fellow professionals who take their roles in weddings seriously were all magnetised! Elegantly beautiful with the rolling hills as a backdrop, not sure you could ask any more from a venue. The main room is proportioned to give that intimate feel and set up in such a way that you always feel involved with your guests. The outside seating area is a great addition to enjoy the fabulous views that the venue affords. There is also an upstairs library space that overlooks the whole room which makes for another great seating area. Onto the Ceremony room, wow what a great space, again the word here is elegant, decorated with subtle colours and just a wonderful space to get married in. It just feels right the moment you walk in, you just know this is the place. And weather permitting you could always make use of the outside space if that's your preference the Manor rooms can handle that. They have the venue, they have the backdrop but what can never be overlooked is the amazing team that just made the day, you don't have to think about anything on the day because the team know exactly what they are doing and when they are supposed to be doing it. The food comes out piping hot to every table (we could write a whole book on just how good the food was, we still get comments now some 8 weeks after the day) no one was left waiting. Tables are cleared promptly between courses but never intrusively. This team know exactly what they are doing, there could have been a huge disaster for all we knew but we had every confidence they would just handle it in their "This is what we do" manner you just enjoy the day. The day rolled into the night seamlessly, the staff always attentive and making sure everything is as perfect as it can be. If you have questions they have answers and you know you, your guests and your special day is in safe hands. Even though they do this week in week out they understand how special the day is to each couple, it never comes across as just another wedding to them, they genuinely want you to have that "special day" and they do all they can to deliver it for you. So I think by now you might be coming to the understanding that we would recommend the Manor Rooms, and we saw a lot of venues but because of the location the stunning backdrop to it all, the fantastic food, the great team there was never really any other serious contender. We don't believe we could have ever had a better day at any other venue with any other team. And if you have read this far down then you really should be booking your day with them before someone else does. Nothing was too much trouble for the team, from responding to standard emails (if somebody isn't in that day, somebody else will pick up the query and respond promptly and informatively), to the team being a part bridal support on the day - anything you need, they're there to help. All to make sure the stress is taken out of the day and you enjoy every minute. They are professional, personable, likable, helpful, and gave us the ultimate confidence from day one that nothing would be too much trouble, whatever we wanted they would accommodate and all with a likeability factor that just resonates throughout the team. The food, the staff, the events team, the location, the venue itself. Just wow!! From first getting in touch with the team in 2020, to being reassured through covid and kept up to date to finally booking our wedding and going ahead- the team have been amazing. They’ve answered every query, guided us through anything we weren’t sure on and provided valuable advice. Nothing was too big an ask- it just got done. On the day itself everything was seamless! The staff were friendly, organised and the venue was impeccable! They were always one step ahead with things, nothing was out of place and everything happened behind the scenes without a hitch. The accommodation on site was perfect for the bridal party and made for a nice easy walk over to the venue when the time came. The staff here are amazing, especially Lisa who was there throughout the organising and throughout our special day making sure everything was perfect! The good thing about this venue, is its so beautiful already before even being styled for a wedding. The food is incredible, with a large range to choose from. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
The best wedding we hosted was an African wedding. I was a spectacle of vibrant gowns and rich culture traditions. One memorable moment was when the couple took their first dance, guests joyously threw money at them for good fortune, creating an atmosphere of celebration and unity.

The number one wedding tip is knowing your budget as this sets the foundation for every decision you make during the planning process.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
The most memorable personal touch was when the couple used old family members wedding photos as their seating table cards. Guests were touched by the sentimentality of the gesture and enjoyed reminiscing about the family's history, which added that extra warmth and intimacy to the day.
