- NNicole B14/04/2023WOWWOWWOW! We had a beautiful wedding on 10/10/15, it was absolutely perfect, words can't describe how fantastic it was. From the very beginning of us looking at the lodge for our wedding venue to the big day itself, manager Toby has been there on hand whenever we needed him. Nothing seemed too much for Toby, from initial information requests to last minute chats on the wedding day to organise the registrars so that my soon to be husband didn't see me before walking down the aisle. We had our ceremony, wedding breakfast and occupied all 26 bedrooms and enjoyed an extremely yummy cooked breakfast at the lodge. The whole day ran smoothly, this is thanks to Toby and his fabulous staff, all of which are very keen to help, serve us much needed drinks, give us great advice and generally happy to help with absolutely anything we needed.. The day itself ran smoothly, mozzarella sticks were delicious, the carvery was outstanding as was the apple crumble. The staff catered for over 50 people for the day and 100 for the evening. All of the staff (who worked long after 1am) were just as happy and cheerful the following morning at breakfast!! Nothing is too much for any of them, everyone was very attentive and happy to lend a hand where necessary. The evening disco was an absolute hit, DJ Kenny was fantastic, had everyone up dancing with his great mix of songs. Feeling like I'm rambling now as we're still on a high from our perfect day, I'll end it with these final words, definitely go and have a look at the lodge, we have had lunch and dinners and haven't been disappointed what's so ever, including our wedding day. Perfect venue 5+ star rating.. Thanks Toby and staff for a day we will always remember.WOW!
