Located between Letchworth and Hitchin in Hertfordshire, this venue sits on eight and a half acres of peaceful greenbelt, offering a stunning backdrop for weddings both intimate and grand. We are a venue with a heart and soul, not your traditional conveyor belt wedding venue. We are a health and wellbeing centre, offering complementary practices, yoga, pilates, counselling and a vegetarian Cafe. Then, we host weddings on our meadow from April until October.
Ceremony and Reception Spaces
We are licensed for civil ceremonies, choose from two large beautiful indoor halls, each with high ceilings and antique wooden floors that create a timeless, adaptable atmosphere. If you prefer an outdoor ceremony, the charming woodland 'Glade' provides a peaceful, whimsical, romantic setting surrounded by nature.

Known as a wonderful “blank canvas,” we invite you to bring your unique wedding vision to life. Whether your style is classic elegance, rustic charm, festival or something completely different, the adaptable spaces can be styled to match your theme perfectly. Each wedding here is totally different as we attract couples who reject the more mainstream, packaged weddings. We are champions of the 'experience' not the 'show' of a wedding day. Great venue, great food, great bar.
The catering team is ready to craft delicious menus using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. We specialise in relaxed BBQs, that offer a variety of options. Add fun touches like hog roasts, Mediterranean mezze platters, or food trucks and ice-cream vans to make your day unique and memorable. With over fifteen years experience, we have a long list of recommended suppliers just waiting to help you curate your dream day.
Facilities and Practical Details
- Exclusive Use: Enjoy full exclusive use of the venue for your wedding day, ensuring privacy and flexibility.
- Capacity: The venue’s versatile rooms accommodate weddings from small gatherings up to 90 guests indoors, with a total on-site capacity of 250 for larger celebrations.
- Catering: In-house catering is available, but you’re also welcome to bring in external suppliers for your evening catering.
- Accessibility: Conveniently located just minutes from the A1(M), with excellent rail links from London, making it easy for guests to attend.
- Parking: Ample free parking is provided on-site for up to 150 vehicles, so your guests won’t have to worry about finding a spot.
- Licensing: The venue holds licenses for alcohol and music until midnight, allowing you to celebrate late into the evening.

We are so grateful to be a part of our couple's days and to share in the warmth and happiness that all our couples and their families enjoy here. The wedding business can be quite old fashioned and so many venues seem to be carbon copies. We try to be different. Not patronising or over bearing. We want you to have a relaxed, happy day, with great food and flowing drinks, surrounded by your favourite people. Perfect.

You can be married in the woodland at the back on the venue, which is super pretty and looks lovely on our photos. It feels really intimate and amongst nature as you are surrounded by trees, this I found in particular really calming on the big day. We also used the large tents to host the meal and dance floor and bar, it was perfect.We had our wedding here in June, and it was the perfect place for us to have the dream outside wedding we wanted. Rebecca and staff did a beautiful job of setting up the tables on the day exactly as I'd asked and the outcome was stunning. The food was excellent, we had a lot of positive feedback from guests, especially our veggie and vegan guests who said wedding alternative options are usually mediocre. We were lucky to have great weather too, as we wanted an outdoor ceremony, but we knew that the ceremony could have taken place indoors if necessary. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
This is impossible as all of them have been amazing. Some highlights are the wedding that said wanted to declare their vows whilst jumping on a bouncy castle (!) and the bride that arrived on her dads tractor...then there was the wedding where the bride and I saw some deer just before she walked down the aisle...then the lovely wedding where the mother of the bride sang a song to her during the speeches..it was beautiful. I could absolutely go on. So many special moments.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Get a great photographer...you won't regret it.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
A flash mob style song during the speeches...oh and the time the couple played their electric guitars as a surprise instead of the first dance!
