The Hartnoll Hotel is a beautiful building and surroundings

The Hartnoll Hotel is a beautiful building and surroundings. The staff where friendly and very helpful. We stayed at the hotel for a family wedding which was amazingly organised and both the bride and groom enjoyed the day as the staff had everything sorted. The food was amazing and the rooms and bathroom where finished to the highest standards. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. 5 star.

Recently went to the hartnoll for a wedding, and I was less than impressed

Recently went to the hartnoll for a wedding, and I was less than impressed.. The wedding food was mediocre and the bar prices were insane.. I also couldn't understand why the hotel doesn't close off the outside dining area when a wedding is on. The ceremony room faces onto the outside grass area which has several tables and chairs for hotel guests to sit and dine. It would make sense (to me at least) to restrict this area when a wedding is on, so the ceremony room doesn't face out onto hotel guests walking past.
