To the amazing staff, the exceptional caterers, the diligent housekeeping team - every one of you contributed to an experience that went above and beyond anything we could have imagined. The room was absolutely stunning, dinner and breakfast were both utterly delicious, and our guests haven’t stopped talking about how much they enjoyed the beautiful afternoon tea - so a huge thank you to the incredibly talented Head Chef and their team. We stayed in the Bootham Suite which was incredible, the perfect room to get ready and have photos in before the wedding. The rest of our wedding party also stayed at the hotel and only had positive things to say! The staff were all accommodating, looked after us all from the get-go. They booked us in the private room in The Pearly Cow and it was the perfect room for the after-ceremony speeches and cake. What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Take the time to enjoy planning your wedding. Last-minute changes will happen, and that's OK. We will support up at every stage through every decision and every change of plans.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
A couple used their place cards to have a short message from the bride and groom to each guest either telling the story of how they met, or their favourite memory of that guest.

Our Grand Staircase runs through the heart of the hotel with skylights allowing natural light to shine through the hotel.
