The Grain Loft will exceed your expectations. The Grain Loft is a beautifully restored building that has maintained its history and charm. This bespoke property is a unique and intimate venue that you and your chosen guests can enjoy exclusively.
At this registered venue you can marry in the upper quarter of the barn with guests seated amongst the original oak wooden beams, adorned with flowers, fairy lights or candles to create a magical and intimate experience. Enjoy feasting on locally sourced, quality food with your family and friends in the downstairs dining area. At the Grain Loft we offer free corkage so you can choose your own wine for the table. New to 2025, is an additional barn, situated off the garden. Designed with a real rustic and quirky feel and includes a bar and games. The converted barn is ideal for welcome drinks, post ceremony canapés or a party in the evening.
As part of the experience of getting married at The Grain Loft you have the opportunity to have exclusive use of Llanhedric House, a spectacular and elegant country home with 7 bedrooms for your closest family and friends. The extensive gardens will impress your guests and are yours to welcome your guests with drinks and canapés on the lawn. If you have children in your party, they will love the endless options of things to do from playing on the pool or table tennis table to enjoying the garden games and children's play area.
Located in the midst of the rolling Shropshire hills and surrounded by beautiful countryside you have the most perfect setting. This is a venue filled with laughter and love.

The Grain Loft absolutely fitted the bill and Elaine and Mark made this vision come to complete fruition. We both love being outdoors and so the venue with its amazing views was perfect. Nothing was ever too much trouble, they were both forever reassuring especially as the day grew closer and the plans had to change due to …. Storm Antoni! The day arrived with strong winds and rain for much of the day, unfortunately robbing us of our outside drinks and photos with the amazing Shropshire countryside but with Mark and Elaine’s help we were seamlessly able to switch our welcome drinks into the marquee which we had hired locally from Enterprise House. At all times they remain totally unflappable and calm. Llanhedric House was also a lovely venue for housing family and friends. Very sociable and with a touch of luxury. With the games rooms, table tennis table, bow and arrows there was plenty for everyone to do and it lent itself to our wedding party getting to know each other. The Grain Loft for the ceremony and the reception (an afternoon tea) looked spectacular with many thanks to Jane’s Petals for the simple yet beautiful floral display. The Loft upstairs was beautifully decorated, with lots of twinkles and feeling all very intimate with its oak beams and rustic feel. It was the perfect size for our wedding party of 58 people. The transformation of the Loft from the ceremony to our bridal suite for the evening was simply magical with some lovely touches (thank you for the sparkly Elaine and Mark!). Our friends commented that Mark and Elaine were ‘always there but not there’, supportive yet unobtrusive. This summed them up perfectly. We simply cannot thank our hosts enough for making our day so special. If you are looking for a small to medium sized wedding in gorgeous surroundings with a relaxed feel then do consider the Grain Loft, we cannot recommend this highly enough. The venue is in the most beautiful setting with incredible views across the Clun Valley. The grounds are well maintained and looked fantastic in the height of summer. Elaine and Mark listened carefully to our requirements and made sure everything was in place on the day. In the run up, they liaised with the caterers and others involved and made sure they were available to take deliveries and to help out. We made use of the whole venue, with friends staying in Llanhedric House and we had the honeymoon suite in The Grain Loft. Everyone we have spoken to after the wedding has commented on what a beautiful setting it is so thanks Elaine & Mark once again for helping to make our day so special. Unfortunately, COVID prevented this from going ahead but we’d still like to thank Elaine and Mark for their flexibility, kindness and support through this difficult year of planning. They’ve dealt with us moving the date and changing numbers so amazingly and we’re really grateful for how easy they made it all seem! The venue itself is beautiful with great facilities and in a lovely location. It’s the ideal wedding venue with rooms in the pretty cottage next door and space to make an intimate wedding really perfect. Plus the extra touch of turning the ceremony room into a bridal suite is such a sweet and lovely idea! My partner and I were planning to get married at this gorgeous venue. The log fires kept us really warm! The kids love the games room! Elaine is really helpful and we really love the welcome pack and lemon drizzle cake.
