Crab Manor Hotel was the perfect venue for our wedding, providing everything one could need. Luxurious accommodation on site for the guests, a quirky sense of style, scenic grounds and unbeatable food, all headed up by our conscientious wedding planner Abigail. Abigail ensured that all of the minutiae of our day was considered and that everything ran smoothly. She ensured that me and my new wife weren't overwhelmed, that we had time to soak the day and that we never had to worry about anything. She worked tirelessly on the day and was so helpful in helping us consider elements we may have forgotten. The venue was perfect for us - the staff attentive, responsive and friendly. Able to accommodate 40+ guests with personalized rooms, hot tubs and comfy beds, it made the day before and after the wedding perfect. The food served was of exceptional quality. We had our wedding at the Crab & Lobster and it was the best decision we ever made, after cancelling another venue in Thirsk. The wedding organiser John was so helpful and always made me (the bride) feel at ease, face to face appointments, emails, calls nothing was ever a problem. He worked with us to deliver a day that suited our budget and dealt with last minute changes with ease. John thank you so much for everything you did to make our day as perfect as it was.We had our wedding at the Crab & Lobster and it was the best decision we ever made, after cancelling another venue in Thirsk. Where do I begin, stayed at the crab manor hotel for 2 nights for my parents wedding, from the moment we looked around the venue 6 months ago, up until the wedding day itself and the planning in between we have had the best experience possible. My husband and I got married here on Thursday 30th May. It is a beautiful hotel and venue, which offers a mix of traditional British decor and gardens, with lots of unique and quirky touches. It was perfect for us - intimate and romantic, set in beautiful grounds. Abigail ran the day for us and her organisation was amazing - she made sure everything ran smoothly and was always willing to help and explain things to us.My husband and I got married here on Thursday 30th May. It was perfect for us - intimate and romantic, set in beautiful grounds. We stayed for 2 nights for a friend´s wedding. The venue and staff are just superb. The rooms are just so individual, we stayed in the Ritz. The decor in the manor is eclectic and you notice something new every time you walk through. From the hot tub & sauna to the breakfasts, champagne & canapes and the Wedding Breakfast, we could not find fault. The gardens were a beautiful setting for a wonderful wedding and everything went so seamlessly, the staff are very good at what they do... We stayed for 2 nights for a friend´s wedding. The venue and staff are just superb. The rooms are just so individual, we stayed in the Ritz. The decor in the manor is eclectic and you notice something new every time you walk through. Dear John, Thank you for planning the wedding of our dreams. You were amazing throughout the build up and on the day, professional from start to finish. You went extra mile for us wherever you could, which was very much appreciated. The food, wines, the service, and the staff were exceptional, we had so many compliments from our guests :) We wish we could to it all again!!! Crab & Lobster will forever be held in our heart and memory, that my husband and I plan on returning every year for our anniversary. Dear John, Ines, and the rest of the team, Thank you so much for everything you did to make our day so amazing. All the staff we met were so friendly and helpful, and the whole day ran so smoothly thanks to you all. The planning was made very easy by all the questions I had being answered so quickly and helpfully, and it really felt like nothing was too much trouble. Everyone enjoyed the food so much-it was amazing! All of us who stayed overnight had such a lovely stay too-we all want to come back! Thank you so much again for everything! After staying over at the Crab and Lobster for a special birthday, we both knew it was the place we wanted to tie the knot. We loved the feel for the place, really quirky, laid back but luxurious too. We also didn't want anything too formal. We met with John on various occasions before the big day, i had a million and one questions which he happily answered and set our minds at rest. We had 40 guests during the day and 120 on the night. The room where we said the 'i do's' was lovely, really bright and very intimate. The grounds are fabulous, lots of really good photo opportunities. I was a little worried at how the evening party would flow with it being across two separate rooms due to having 120 guests, however, it was perfect. We had a photo booth/sweet shop etc set up in the back room and people could sit and chat but still here the music and entertainment from the dance floor. Another big fear was the good old British weather, i thought rain would completely ruin the day! It stayed dry during the ceremony and photos and then rained on and off for most of the night. This didn't have any impact on the day and our guests still made use of the outside area. The food was gorgeous with lots of compliments from our guests. We had a BBQ for the evening which went down very well, some guests even commented 'the best BBQ ever!!' John and the team organised the day to flow so perfectly for us and went over and above our expectations in looking after my disabled grandparents, even arranging transport to get between the main building and the Crab Manor.
