There’s a lot more than meets the eye at this gorgeous East London boozer, it’s a quirky bar with a traditional twist makes it the perfect pub wedding venue. Located on the high street of Leytonstone, it’s a neighbourhood pub with all the London city vibes.
Our first floor beautiful private room is perfect for an intimate wedding reception. Exposed wooden floors, large sash windows and high ceilings make this room light and airy. Blank canvas walls, let you put your own personal stamp on your special day.
With delicious vegan options, you can opt in for a fully vegan wedding, or choose from your traditional wedding favourites or even our delicious pub menu. Whatever your dietary requirements are, we have you covered. With a specialised wine tasting, just for the couple, you will get to choose from our extensive menu.

So nice to have somewhere that feels refreshing, cool and modern and not like other pubs in the area. I had reserved an area in the bar downstairs for 40 people, and had buffet food put on. The service I received from Rich, via email prior to the event was excellent. The buffet food was really nice. We all had a fantastic night, made better by the excellent service of the bar staff. All in all I strongly recommend using The Birds for any large parties/group gatherings. Staff were really supportive and friendly from the communication when booking all the way to collecting some of our belongings the next morning. The party food went down really well and we had a fantastic time. I would wholeheartedly recommend the venue if you were planning a party! Thank you to the team at The Birds! We hired the function from for my son’s birthday party and you all made it very special. The room was set up perfectly, it was clean and decorated beautifully. I wasn’t sure what to expect but was pleasantly suprised to find this gem with its great range of craft ales, delicious bbq food topped off with an ace quiz! Relax & Enjoy the process! This is hopefully a once in a lifetime opportunity, so don't allow stress to overtake what a beautiful experience it's meant to be. Pass the responsibility onto us and let us figure out the details!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
There's been many but one that stood out was when a couple decided instead of a guest book they were going to have an old school phone to record the guests messages/ words of wisdom onto. I thought it was quite unique and definitely will be borrowing the idea for my own wedding!

Anyway within the main room due to all the amazing natural light we get from the large sash windows.

I think I may just have to go for the Mini-Yorkshire pudding with Horseradish. I'm just a sucker for anything Roast Dinneresque.

Depends on what the time of year is, but you can't go wrong with a bowl of ice cream.
