The Arches is a truly unique industrial venue. Originally the largest carpet manufacturer in the world, Dean Clough Mills has been lovingly restored by the Hall Family into a unique complex of modern, inspiring Mills. Bursting with creativity, the Mills also house the largest private Art Collection in the whole of Europe, a Theatre and a Hotel. - The Arches was established in 2014 when we saw the opportunity to hold distinctive and memorable events within the Mills. We have been hosting incredibly individual Weddings and exclusive Events ever since. Our beautiful vaulted red brick ceilings, iconic Northern Lights and Yorkshire Stone floors provide the backdrop for some serious styling and artistic touches. - Quite unusually for a venue of our type, we offer a versatile capacity, meaning that despite our 300 person capability, we can also host a minimum of 60 Guests without compromising experience quality. Plus we, remarkably for a quirky venue, offer all-inclusive Wedding Packages as we have our own exceptional Head Chef & Team, rather than a long list of Caterers, who can create exactly the right food and drink options to suit you and your Guests. Ask us about our Tasting Nights an which is included as part of your Package. - Our Weddings & Events Team can help you realise your vision and walk you through the planning process. They have unrivalled experience in high-end, luxury Event Management with some seriously special suppliers at their fingertips who, just like us, believe in creating exclusive and impressive moments to remember.

We offer an all-inclusive package which can be personalised to your specific requirements and the number of guests. Our packages are based on 60 day guests and an additional 20 evening guests. We have a a very affordable rate to add on additional guest as the venue is perfect for weddings with larger guest numbers. We also offer all our packages inclusive or exlusive of the drinks packages.

From the minute we booked, Sam and the team were organised but relaxed and so flexible around our ideas and what we wanted. As wheelchair users, we struggled to find a venue that was big enough for our guests, but also fully accessible for ourselves and our guests to be able to get around the whole room. On the day, the team even put little freshen up baskets in the accessible bathroom for us so everyone had access to the same things! The food was incredible on the day, we had a wonderful food tasting evening and loved trying out the different courses. They coordinated everyone and everything, so that on the day, we could just enjoy ourselves! Everything from last minute table plan changes, to menu changes and even needing to keep some people away from the venue was dealt with and I felt so lucky to have them making our day run smoothly. To top it off, the room looked absolutely amazing, especially at night with candles on the tables and the disco lights going. It was the perfect venue, thank you to the team at The Arches for helping to make it the best day! We had the most amazing day at The Arches! From the moment we came to see the venue to the end of our celebrations were perfect. Everything was made to be so easy and all our requests were fulfilled (even the tequila shot I asked for just before I walked down the aisle). If you are looking for a venue that is simply beautiful, attentive staff, Devine food and drinks then please book The Arches!! We had the best time celebrating our wedding and a lot of it was due to them! Thank you thank you thank you!!Wow! The whole team at The Arches are amazing. From our very first contact right through to our big day in August, the team were incredible — always quick to respond, attentive to every detail, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Our wedding day was truly magical, all thanks to the wonderful team at The Arches — especially Sam! Sam supported us every step of the way during the final 12 weeks. He met us at the venue whenever we needed, was there from set-up to the very end, and made sure everything ran perfectly. He genuinely went above and beyond to ensure we were happy, hydrated (with a few drinks, of course!), and completely stress-free. The Arches is such a stunning venue — full of character, charm, and tucked away beautifully in the heart of Halifax. I honestly couldn’t recommend it enough. We didn’t want traditional, no sit down meal, not your standard prosecco and Beer, drinks reception. Everything we threw at them everything that we wanted they simply made it happen in a heartbeat! The planning was unreal and it all went without a hitch! This really is the most stunning venue, backdrop for a wedding! As mentioned above we didn’t want a traditional wedding breakfast we wanted the best buffet ever ever, and oh boy did they deliver. This was the only part that had me wishing I wasn’t the bride because I would have for sure been back at least 4 times! It was the most epic graze table I have ever seen and all the guests agreed! The entertainment was equally amazing all taken care of by Jamie and the team. I have to give a shout out the the general manager Sam he almost went unnoticed but he was there always in the right place at the right time and he just made it that extra bit special! I’m planning on having a Joint birthday with a family member just to experience the buffet and venue all over again! They made our evening wedding celebration so perfect and took away all the stress & worry, instead making it a fun experience. The venue itself looked absolutely stunning, especially when the sun set and all the fairy lights came on - all our guests said we had found a hidden gem, which we couldn't agree more with. The food was absolutely delicious and the team were really accommodating for various dietary requirements and last minute changes. We couldn't recommend The Arches more, especially for anyone who wants to have a wedding with lots of personal touches and a fantastic team of people helping to make it happen.Naomi, Jamie & the rest of the team at The Arches were fantastic from start to finish. Paul and I immediately loved the look of the venue and on our first meeting, we were so impressed with the 'yes, we can' attitude. Throughout the planning process, everyone was so helpful, friendly and flexible; allowing us to create a wedding unique to us. The Arches is beautiful and we got all the help we needed to create the wedding we wanted. Everything on the day went to plan and our guests were amazed by the place. We received so many compliments on our choice of venue. The food too was amazing. We couldn't have asked for more and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Arches. The whole day went without a hitch (apart from our hilarious rather dramatic entrance), the service was great and the food was delicious, thanks to your super talented Chef. An excellent Wedding Co-Ordinator. Like me! We take so much of the strain from you. And rightly so! You need to enjoy your Special Day.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
So, so many. We are always so inspired by our Couples and the fantastic ideas they bring. We love being a part of something new and the beauty of The Arches is that we are all about pushing boundaries and being at the front of a revolution! But personally, I loved the Couple that had their dog be the ring-bearer. He was the star of the show all day!

*We once had a Bride have her photo taken in a massive Scissor Lift, being used to renovate one of the other Mills. What made this extra special was that she was scared of heights!
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
YES - Royal Family, Politicians, Sporting Celebrities, Celebrity Chefs, Film Stars, Soap Stars...
We seem to attract Couples wanting something special and unique, both historic and contemporary with the ability to personalise and build the events themselves to create something completely bespoke and memorable
What’s your favourite canapé?
ALL OF THEM! Mini Fish & Chips are always a crowd pleaser.
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Cheese & Crackers.
What is your venue's most unique feature?
Inside, the Yorkshire Stone Floors and unique Vaulted Red Brick Ceilings are amazing. Outside, there are numerous unique and quirky corners which make fantastic photo opportunities. As a business, the things that make us completely unique are our location, our people and our ability to personalise any part of your day. The most unique thing about our Packages is that they don't include things you don't need for the sake of it and we offer a Fair Children's Pricing Policy.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
The Team. Without doubt. We are a big family. We all heartily believe in excellent customer service and genuinely love being part of a Special Day.
