The venue was stunning, and sipping our post wedding breakfast drinks, in the glorious sunshine, overlooking the lake was without doubt the most memorable experience. It was truly an unforgettable day with everything you could want for a DIY wedding but with the support that they had from both Julie and Brian in arranging the day. The accommodation was 5*. Clean, very high quality and had everything we needed to celebrate. The bridesmaids slept at the venue the night before the wedding and we enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and even had a sauna! The grounds are truly stunning and we loved going up The Mound to get a panoramic view. I would highly recommend this venue! A fantastic day to have the day exactly as we wanted. We could choose our own caterer, DJ, photographer etc. without being dictated to or hit with additional charges (corkage etc.) The Marquee was a fantastic blank canvas so that we could decorate however we wanted. (We had an afternoon tea themed wedding) We didn't have to have the music turned off at a certain time so we could enjoy our special day right until the end (early morning!) You have the option to have accommodation on site for up to 24 guests (which we would highly recommend) perfect for our close family and friends. The site is clean, well presented and has 9 acres of grounds to explore, everything we could have wanted especially for all of our photos which we shall treasure forever. The communication throughout was excellent which made us feel so happy so as to have no surprises on the day! Highly recommended and thank you! Suffolk Retreats really is a hidden gem! - NNicky and Nathan19/09/2023Just AmazingJust AmazingWe came across this lovely place by chance when looking for a venue to hold our wedding reception, it is amazing and Brian and Julie could not do more to help us in the run up to the big day with my several emails asking questions, needing to meet with suppliers there etc, would def look to enquire about booking again for a big family party if need be. There are too many lovely photo spots to mention, from views of the lake, photos outside the 400 year old cottage or our secret garden, and viewing mound to name just a few.

Viewing Mound. Fantastic for your photographer to get group wedding photos with great views over the marquee, lake and grounds
