Storrs Hall provides one of the most spectacular wedding locations in the Lake District - it's more unique than you'd think to find this beautiful blend of period architecture, grand rooms, large gardens, and private lake frontage. We have 6 Licensed spaces for your ceremony, indoors and out. From Just For Two on the Boathouse Lakeside Terrace, Garden Pavilion, and The South Lawn, sweeping down to the lake with miles of views. Indoors features the beautiful Drawing Room, The Study, and private Dining Room - all with lake views. The Restaurant spanning the width of the Georgian Hall, opens out into the conservatory, and garden terraces, looking down the South lawn. It's a discreetly elegant space for your Wedding Breakfast. Our Head Chef lovingly prepares great quality food, it's all about the flavour and making your day perfect. The circular hallway features a stained glass rotunda, casting coloured beams of sunshine into the ground floor. There's even an in-house traditional 'Pub' featuring an original stained glass bar from Blackpool Tower! Add to the celebrations with our vintage Citroen catering van - it makes a perfect outdoors Champagne Bar. Our private Jetty means you can commission a private lake tour with Windermere Lake Cruises from our grounds. You can arrive and depart by Helicopter if that's your dream as we have landing space on the South Lawn.

Everything was amazing, the organisation, the service from the staff, the food. The whole day and all of our stay was perfect. Their service and attention to detail is impeccable,making us feel so very welcome. - JJoshua Wyborn03/04/2023Blown Away!Blown Away!I recently photographed a wedding at Storrs Hall and while I have been before for afternoon tea with family in the past I have to say I was blown away by the service I saw at this wedding not only towards guests but towards myself as the photographer. Nothing was a job to little or two big to be asked. Amazing food. friendly staff and incredible grounds for this majestic venue to call home! We got married here in June 2021 under the 'just for two package' and stayed in room 36 (a feature lake view room) and we had Olivia as the wedding coordinator for the day. (Julia was our email point of contact prior to the day) and can i just sat they were amazing. We absolutely loved it, such kind, attentive staff. As people who are not necessarily used to the finer things in life, we were spoken to like royalty. Olivia definitely has a career in wedding planning! I felt like a princess on my wedding day because of the lovely staff and that's all I could have asked for and more. I definitely had storrs hall blues when I we left! And wil definitely be back. On other notes, room was spotless and beautiful, food was absolutely amazing and delicious! Staff were second to none and the hotel itself and grounds were breathtaking! From the moment we visited Storrs Hall and met with Julia’s team, we knew we had found our venue. Not only was it the venue itself, the grounds, the views that were perfect but the welcome we received from staff and service we got from them to talk about our potential wedding with them was so friendly and helpful. Once the day was booked, everything ran so smoothly with all the plan making and so on the day we arrived we just knew everything was going to be as perfect as we’d planned it to be. We were not in anyway disappointment. From the moment we arrived to the day we left, our every wish and need was met and catered for. Our suite was a dream and had everything we could want and more. The staff are extremely professional but approachable. They leave you feeling like you have had a really special time. The main rooms and the suites, the food, the location and the service is just incredible. Despite hosting 90-100 guests on our wedding day, the service was STILL impeccable. I do not know how they do it, but they somehow manage to achieve perfection. We could not have asked for a more amazing wedding day in the most beautiful location, but all of the staff really did make it the day that it was. The standard is so high, never change, we will be back again!We have stayed at Storrs Hall a few times now. We got engaged there and recently got married there! The room was very spacious with a lot of storage space and fantastic amenities. The shower was a particular highlight! The food served throughout was lovely and staff were very attentive and friendly. All-in-all, a fantastic experience and certainly a hotel I would definitely recommend and return to!Attended Storrs Hall for a wedding and both my partner and I were blown away by the gorgeous grounds and views. The room was very spacious with a lot of storage space and fantastic amenities. The shower was a particular highlight! The bar is really high here for photo opportunities, striking Georgian architecture, miles of lake views, a stone built 'Temple' with arching windows set off from the lakeshore, the pretty Pavilion perfectly sited for sunsets reflecting on the lake, the jetty framed by lake and mountain views to the north, woodland and shingly little beaches...

What is your venue's most unique feature?
Romantic architecture Grade II* Listed (think Jane Austin) and our wonderful lake shore location. We sit on the shores of Lake Windermere in the beautiful English Lake District.
