Imagine celebrating your wedding in a magnificent Grade I listed stately home, surrounded by the peaceful Leicestershire countryside. Stanford Hall, a family-owned estate built in 1697, offers a private and historic setting where you can truly make the venue your own. With exclusive use of the entire estate for a weekend, you and your loved ones can enjoy a bespoke wedding experience tailored just for you.
Ceremony and Reception Spaces
- The Ballroom: Perfect for civil ceremonies, this grand room features a beautifully restored fresco ceiling and comfortably seats up to 80 guests. It’s also an elegant space for your wedding breakfast with the same capacity.
- St. Nicholas Church: If you’re dreaming of a traditional church wedding, the stunning Norman church is just a short walk across the parkland and can welcome up to 200 guests.
- The Georgian Stables Courtyard: Recently refurbished, this versatile space is ideal for an after-party with up to 200 guests. Enjoy indoor dancing and dining, with direct access to a charming cobbled courtyard and the Rose Garden—perfect for any season.
- Marquee Receptions: For larger celebrations, the estate’s 680 acres of beautiful parkland offer lakeside and tree-lined avenue locations to set up marquees accommodating up to 500 guests.
Accommodation for You and Your Guests
Stanford Hall provides a two night stay for close family and friends. Choose from 5 heritage suites within the main Hall and 10 bedrooms in the restored Georgian Coach House Courtyard, accommodating up to 49 guests in total.
Planning Your Perfect Day
With exclusive use of the estate, you and your guests will enjoy complete privacy throughout your wedding weekend. The venue is licensed for civil marriages and partnerships, and welcomes biodegradable confetti and fireworks to make your celebration truly memorable. You have the freedom to choose in-house catering or bring in your own specialists caterers for those larger celebrations utilising marquees and stretch tents. Plus, an experienced in-house wedding coordinator is on hand to guide you every step of the way, ensuring your day runs smoothly and stress-free.

At Stanford Hall, our weddings are very much bespoke, with various options available.
As you can see from our website, Stanford Hall, a grade 1 listed private stately home with Georgian Stables, situated in 250 acres of private parkland
In the Hall, itself, we have a magnificent ballroom with a beautifully restored fresco ceiling that can seat up to 90 for a civil ceremony and/or a wedding dinner.
There is also a splendid Norman church is a short walk away through the park with seating for over 200 if required for a Church Wedding.
Our Georgian Stables offers a fantastic celebration area with a capacity for up to 150 guests for indoor dancing and dining. This opens directly out onto our cobbled Georgian Stables courtyard which is also adjacent to our rose garden making a great outdoor celebration space for any weather condition or season.
Our preferred caterers charge from £69.50 plus VAT per head for 3 course wedding dinner and £20 plus VAT per head for after party food. A brunch on Sunday for your wedding guests can also be arranged in our Stable Tea Rooms.
If you supply your own wines and champagnes, we do not charge corkage.
Here at Stanford Hall, we also have accommodation in the form of 15 bedrooms for your family and friends.
Weekday Weddings:
New for 2026, we are offering weekday weddings priced from £8,000 plus VAT. This includes civil ceremony in our Ballroom and drinks reception on the Heritage
For our wedding weekends, we offer exclusive use, corkage free, we charge a base fee from £13,000 plus VAT that includes all the 15 bedrooms for a two-night stay, but not the catering which is priced above.
Our prices include a full butler service, during your wedding day.

Our ceremony took place indoors in the magnificent ballroom, which was warm and atmospheric, perfectly suited to our autumn wedding. Afterward, guests enjoyed a drinks reception outdoors, where the Hall’s stunning grounds created the most beautiful backdrop. The following day, we hosted our fun fair celebration on the lawn, it was such a unique and joyful way to continue the festivities, and our guests are still talking about it! The fireworks at the front of the house were one of the highlights of the weekend, absolutely magical and the perfect ending to a truly special day. We can’t praise Martin, the coordinator, and the entire team at Stanford Hall enough. Martin was incredibly attentive from start to finish. Calm, professional, and always one step ahead. Every detail was handled seamlessly, which allowed us to relax and really take it all in. The staff made us feel genuinely cared for, and our guests commented on how welcoming and well-organised everything was. The catering, MP Catering was a wonderful recommendation from the venue. Outstanding! Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavour. We also had a number of guests staying at the Hall, and they were blown away by the comfort and grandeur of the rooms. Stanford Hall is more than just a venue it’s a place that feels steeped in warmth, history, and heart. It gave us the most incredible setting to start our married life, and we’ll cherish those memories forever. Warning this is a long review and worth it!! 🥰🫶🏾From the moment we chose the venue earlier this year we were blown away with the team at Stanford and their attentiveness. From our first visit being advised we could do whatever we wanted and had the use of the whole venue over the weekend from Friday to Sunday afternoon for us was super exciting ! When you imagine the wedding of your dreams, Stanford Hall is a place you can make your dreams come true. Every detail was perfect we had the perfect day. The teams that worked together, checking on our accommodation, guests arrangements, all our suppliers to ensure not one detail of our wedding was missed this just made the weekend even more spectacular! Do you know what really impressed us? We had access to the venue at all times when Stanford were not hosting events, this access made delivering our personal items and stock for the reception stress free, when guests arrived, Stanford felt like home already, we were familiar with every aspect of the house and grounds which made greeting our guests and showing them around effortless. The team greeted guests got them quickly settled throughout the weekend nothing was too much trouble. Even being attentive to my elderly in-laws ensuring they arrived safely to their room after the reception in the evening so that we could continue enjoying our party. There are so many moments and occasions to count at how amazing this place and the teams are. Hidden gem 💎 is the Yurt tucked away in the grounds cosy warmed and great if you love the outdoors and nature ! My brother just arrived back from a holiday in Cornwall and said where he camped looked exactly the same. ♥️He would take himself off on long walks in the beautiful grounds there was nowhere ‘off limits’ you have 100% access. Extremely secure, secluded, friendly and warm, the generosity knows no bounds, we are heading back a day later to collect our remaining items, this is how accommodating the team are…. Lucy had the most fantastic day and the Hall was the perfect venue. Despite the grandeur of the house it had a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, and we were all so well looked after. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole event, and have had a lot of enthusiastic feedback from the guests. I just wanted to thank you and all your colleagues at Stanford Hall again for all you did to make the wedding weekend such a huge success. Lucy had the most fantastic day and the Hall was the perfect venue. Despite the grandeur of the house it had a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, and we were all so well looked after.
