Once upon a time, Salt House was Standon Hall, a grand Grade II-listed manor house with a rich history. (And yes, we still hold that title!) But we saw something more, a place where rules are rewritten, traditions are reimagined, and love stories unfold in bold, brilliant, and unexpected ways.
So ready to ditch the cookie-cutter weddings? Salt House is where epic vibes meet unapologetic style. Think historic charm, bold design, and photo ops so good they might just break the internet (well, almost).
Nestled in the heart of Staffordshire, Salt House is a historic venue with a rebellious streak, designed for couples who dare to do things differently. With its jaw-dropping architecture, quirky details, and exclusive-use policy, your wedding won’t just be an event. It’ll be an experience.

As part of your hire, you’ll have the support of our experienced in-house team who’ll help you bring your vision to life — from mapping out your floorplan to make sure every detail is perfect on the big day.
You’ll also get freedom to choose your own suppliers — stylists, stationers, florists, DJs, dogs in tuxedos... if it matters to you, it matters to us.
You'll be able to enjoy a complimentary Honeymoon Suite on the night of your wedding.
8 Optional on-site guest accommodation (with breakfast), can be added for the night before (subject to availability) and the night of your wedding.

Thank you aswell for helping us with the pizza van issue we stumbled into on the night and quickly finding an alternative to feed everyone, the pizzas went down really well! Again we cannot thank you all enough for making our wedding day absolutely perfect! I believe Sam provided his details for the damage deposit to be sent back over, when can we expect this? Even the bar was cheaper, per pint, than a marquee wedding a couple of weeks earlier. The gardens are magnificent, and the staff are extraordinarily attentive and friendly. The weather was beautiful which meant we could take advantage of the gorgeous grounds, and the staff were all incredibly helpful. It's clear that they really give their all to make sure couples have the best day. - SSimone & Neon13/06/2025Simply the best daySimply the best dayI first attended Standon Hall for a wedding in 2021 and myself and my now husband said immediately “now this is where we’re going to get married!” fast forward to October 2024, we did it. We got married and at the most breath taking venue we have ever laid our eyes on! We booked Standon Hall 7 days after our engagement in 2023 so we had plenty of time to plan our day to the T. We had the most amazing team work along side us to ensure that our day was the most perfect day for US ! The staff who work there are absolutely amazing! Nothing felt like it was ever too much for them. They were on hand with emails being replied to effectively and promptly throughout the whole of the planning period right up until the day of to triple check everything. They work closely along side you to plan every detail with time lines of the day, advice on where to place things, any special requests for your selected music for the ceremony, freedom to choose your drinks package to cater to what you want. Every detail was perfect and so easy with their support. I was so nervous about the aisle song as i wanted to walk down to a particular bit and the way they stood, guided and smashed it was something that really sticks in my mind, same with our leaving music, we wanted to walk back down to a particular bit and it was all just so perfectly timed. I personally don’t drink alcohol and they specially ordered in a bottle on non alcoholic red wine for me to have for our sit down meal as well as non alcoholic prosecco for toasts. Another thing we really loved is that we got to sit down and decide on our own personal cocktails/mocktails to which all our guests really enjoyed aswell as our adventurous choices for our welcome drinks. Staff were on hand to help assist with any last minute details, I forgot about reserved seating for the front rows and the staff kindly whipped something out for me last minute. Our night ended with our guests on the way home after all having a fabulous day and night and us sitting in the bar with the staff until around 2 am talking and just soaking in the most perfect day and it’s down to all of them making it run so smoothly, nothing in the slightest went wrong! The venue as a whole has so many beautiful places inside and out for pictures to capture your day with your other half, family and friends in ways you can’t imagine until you’re there. The venue has the old feeling of a beautiful Manor but a new feel of bougee where you feel as though this is the house of your dreams... and honestly that’s how Standon Hall feels to us.
