Choose between the beautiful ornate Yellow Room and the formal gardens for your civil ceremony or one of our beautiful local churches.
Drinks in the house and the formal gardens with croquet on the lawn before moving to our beautiful traditional sail cloth marquee on the rear lawn for the wedding breakfast and evening party. What could be more perfect?
Our on-site accommodation for up to 10 in the private guest house and the luxury Bridal Suite in the main house, gives your wedding a 'country-house long-weekend' feel. Set up all day Friday, tie the knot Saturday, host a brunch in the marquee on Sunday morning. There's absolutely no need to rush!

We held our ceremony and reception in the Georgian rooms and also stayed in Rose Cottage all which worked out perfectly for our day. Jo is amazing the perfect host and so accommodating and so quick to respond to any of questions and requests. We had the best day and thoroughly recommend Jo and Sprivers to anyone looking for a wedding venue.Sprivers was the most wonderful venue for our small family wedding. From the moment I saw it I knew I had to get married here . The grounds are amazing and there is so much land so it makes for lots of great photo opportunities. The marque is also stunning and spacious and there’s lots of ouside space . We got married outside and it was beautiful . I cannot rate this venue enough and Joanne who runs Sprivers is equally amazing . I gave Jo a vision of what I wanted my wedding to be like and it was exactly that. She is a great organiser and knows lots of suppliers. If you’re like me and feel overwhelmed organising a wedding don’t be as Jo will always be there to guide you along the way. During the morning the suite of bridal rooms made 'getting ready' great fun and the ceremony room is absolutely beautiful. Interior of the house plus the stunning gardens are just perfect for photos - and Jo made everything so relaxed and thought of everything. Would recommend to anyone! We couldn't have hoped for anything more wonderful for our wedding ceremony - it was an absolutely magical setting. We knew Sprivers was where we wanted to get married when we saw it in person. It felt private and quintessentially English with beautiful grounds. Sprivers is a gorgeous venue with fabulous rooms and beautiful mature gardens. The interior is wonderful and the rooms upstairs are perfect for getting ready in with lots of original details and colourful decor. - HHannah and James16/11/2018Best autumnal wedding! Best autumnal wedding!My husband and I had THE best wedding day at a Sprivers mansion! Everybody commented on how beautiful the venue was and very private (there’s no sharing with other couples as the venue is yours for the entire weekend!) Our wedding day was Saturday 29th September and we were SO Lucky with the weather as we got married outside. With temperatures of 22 degrees at the end of September, we couldn’t believe our luck! The house is fantastic for photos and the marquee is a blank canvas that allows you to transform the venue into whatever you dream of! Best day ever!My husband and I had THE best wedding day at a Sprivers mansion! Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
When it rained heavily one August Saturday from morning til night and the couple totally embraced it, even sitting by the campfire with their friends until the wee hours, totally soaking wet, but laughing and having the best time.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Make sure you use the on site accommodation, where possible, for the most helpful people among your friends/family as there is always a lot more to do than you anticipate and be sure to give both myself and the front of house manager as much information as possible for our run sheets. Communication is everything!
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
The Labrador wearing a GoPro camera on his collar to catch the day's action. The Skype session during the ceremony with the bride's Iranian mother who was unable to get a visa was very moving, as there were lots of tears. The father of the bride's Ceilidh band playing a full set at his own daughter's wedding. The stunning coach and Fresian horses taking the bride to the village church and bringing the couple back for the reception.

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
The long meandering driveway through the National Trust estate, under the giant Sequoia trees, the Victorian walled Rose Garden, the Wild Flower Meadow are all lovely, but couples are free to wander through the 100 acres of National Trust estate that offers so many beautiful backdrops.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
We had Katie Price and her current beau as guests recently and Ore Oduba and his wife Portia whose sister married here, does that count.....?!! We have some more this summer, but I'm not allowed to say who .....
What’s your favourite canapé?
Our in-house caterer the Curious Events are so amazingly talented, that it wold be too difficult to choose a favourite
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
We allow pizza/samosa/fish & chip vans on site to serve all sorts of goodies to hungry guests, so any of those would hit the spot for me, but pizza has to be the one .....
What is your venue's most unique feature?
It has to be the location. There is only one house in the 100 acre National Trust estate surrounding the house, so the location feels very private and secluded. The gorgeous Georgain house setting is truly authentic, as it has little changed in the 300 years since it was built
What part of your business are you most proud of?
We only offer 10 weekend long weddings per year which means couples and their guests can truly relax and enjoy the set up process the day before and luxuriate in being among friends and family for the whole weekend. There is definitely no conveyor belt feeling whatsoever at this venue.
