Immerse yourselves in the historical grandeur of this breath-taking masterpiece; commissioned in the early 18th Century and magnificently restored; it is a truly inspiring venue for your special day.
Greet your guests with a sparkling reception on the church steps or the beautiful Crypts for Autumn| Winter weddings - where you can even book the bell ringers to announce your arrival.
After some celebratory drinks, we would invite guests to proceed to the awe-inspiring Nave for the wedding breakfast; with light pouring in from the clerestory windows and banquet tables ensconced in the central hall accented with Tuscan columns.
After the Wedding breakfast, your guests will descend to our beautiful vaulted Crypt for the first dance and evening entertainment.
Contrary to the name might suggest; this surprisingly light and airy space has been recently re-designed to incorporate the historic stone foundations of the original 300-year-old structure with modern light oak panelling and underfloor heating. This is a beautiful space to incorporate into your evening and to dance the night away.
We have some great florists, photographers, production companies and Wedding specialists that we can recommend to make your day truly special.

Spitalfields Venue is a breath-taking Church commissioned in the early 18th Century. Nicholas Hawksmoor, a former pupil of Sir Christopher Wren, designed the church as part of the Commission for Building Fifty New Churches. It is widely considered to be one of his masterpieces, which has been magnificently restored, offering a unique historical grandeur for your special day. If you have any architects in the family - they will vouch for how beautiful it is!
We are located on Commercial Street, in the heart of the Shoreditch, the City.
We have excellent transport links, which makes getting to work a dream! Wherever your guests are coming from we are well connected: Liverpool Street, Aldgate, Shoreditch High street are all within walking distance. Have family coming from Kent - London Bridge is 20 minutes away.
We are also surrounded by some great hotels - recommend the Andaz or Pan Pacific if you don't live local for you to pop to after the day.
Yes you can!
Let me know if this is something you are interested in and I will have a check with the Bell Ringers on availability.
This will be in the Nave. With it's high ornate ceilings, wooden pillars - it truly is a beautiful space.
Don't be put off by the size of the room. We have had weddings from 70 - 250, with the room at both ends of the scale not feeling crowded or empty. You have to see it in person to understand.
And I will suggest room layups (with floor plans) for all numbers to help you with visualising this.
Yes - this would be in the Crypt. Don't let the name put you off - it is no ordinary Crypt. After the refurbishment in 2015 - the space has been transformed into a perfect fusion of modern whilst keeping some of the original stone features.
It has been designed to be multi-roomed or as one large space. This helps us perfectly adjust the space according to you guest numbers and entertainment. Love the idea of having a band - well, bands love playing in the Crypt!
We are partnered with some great suppliers:
Catering - we cover all budgets, style and food preferences from Western to Mediterranean to Afro-Caribbean cuisine.
Florist - directly listed with us, is a great florist, who 2 streets away! No worries of flowers getting stuck in traffic ☺️ Like us, she is thinking of your guests, even providing ready to go bags so that the flowers don't go to waste at the end. And most of her beautiful creations are perfect for drying at home - money well spent! Or you can ask your caterers to help out, as they will also have a list of their own.
Wedding Planners - we are partnered with some great planners. So, if you are a busy duo or just need the guidance, either way, a little help never hurts - let me know I would be happy to connect you
Of course!
We would need to get you booked in the Church is not open to the public.
My working days are Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm. But appreciate that you may need to come after work - so can do viewings between 5pm - 6.30pm.
The Crypt has been recently redesigned to incorporate underfloor heating and modern light oak panelling. Soft seating and dimmable lighting help create an inviting area for family that want to sit and catch up. Whilst, those that want to dance the night away are round the corner on the dancefloor.
On the day, the only words I want to be saying to you is:
Bride - You look beautiful in your dress | Groom - Your suit is on point ; Can I get you anything? And that is about it 😁
If you don't have a wedding planner, all good - just connect me to a trusted family member or friend ahead of the day that I can liaise with. Together we can help move your guests when needed, they can introduce you into the room (a familiar face and voice is always best). If you aren't headed home at the end, I will make sure that they get all your pressies, cards and any other bits.
When you are having your delicious meal with speeches, I will be flipping the Crypt into the afterparty set up, so you don't need to think about the logistics of this.
Basically your your behind the scene do-er!
When you enquire, we will let you know if the your preferred date is available.
I am afraid we don't hold dates without a site visit, everyone goes for the same days! If you book a site visit, I will put the date on hold for you and give you a week to have a think. Appreciate you will be visiting other venues, maybe need to talk to the parents or even sometimes come and have a second look. I get it, its your big day and one visit might not be enough to make that decision.
If I haven't heard from you by the end of that week's hold - I will reach to see where you are at.
If we are your chosen venue - we then move into contract and 50% deposit to secure the date as yours. And let the planning commence!
