Slapton Manor host a limited amount of weddings each year, this, along with setup a couple of days prior will ensure your special day is truly unique. Whilst here make Slapton Manor your home from home! With a 12thC Manor House at the centre of the farm, Slapton Manor will make you feel like you are separate from the rest of the world. Choose to say your 'I do's' in a choice of the 18thC Threshing Barn with ancient wooden beams and rustic walls,12thC Parish Church of St Botolph, famous for it's medieval wall paintings or maybe you wish to consider an outdoor ceremony? After the formalities it's time to celebrate! Maybe drinks on the historic Fold Yard followed by food and dancing the night away in the traditional marquee. There are endless possibilities to express yourself with the marquee which also boasts magical views and large enough to accommodate both your friends that wish to party and those who prefer to have a good catch up! Then when it's time to rest your weary head Slapton Manor also has it covered, offering a choice of 6 to 8 accommodation studios on site or for those who want to end the romantic day under the stars, glamping can be arranged. Or if camping is your thing, you and your guests are welcome to bring your own tents, caravans or campers! There is also ample local accommodation should you require more. Individuality is at the core of Slapton Manor; your day is tailored to you hence we don't believe in packages and you are welcome to use suppliers of your choice (except for beverages). But don't feel daunted, for those a little stuck on ideas, the team at Slapton Manor are always on hand to help throughout the planning process from advice on timings to recommending suppliers. Your day will be just you, your loved ones and the nature surrounding the farm, exclusively yours for the day!

We offer an exclusive hire rate for the venue to include the marquee which is fully lined, heated and has a hard floor. The price also includes a couple of days access to the venue to settup and put your own touch on your special day. You are welcome to use suppliers of your choice, i.e. caterers.... we just ask that we provide all beverages on site.

The Perfect Countryside WeddingThe Perfect Countryside Wedding
We first visited Slapton Manor on a cold and wet February morning, but in spite of this we soon realised it was the venue for us! The farm is beautiful - we used the barn for the ceremony and it was perfect, and the marquee for the evening was stunning, with a beautiful backdrop of open fields and grazing sheep. It provided the exact relaxed and fun vibe we were looking for. There’s also so many great places to sneak away for some quiet moments on the day - and they’re perfect to get some stunning photos! Initially one of the things that drew us to Slapton was the freedom to decorate the venue as we wanted and the ability to tailor the day to our specific plan. Having access a few days prior to the wedding was a massive advantage for setup, giving us time to get everything right and enjoy the setup time with our closest friends and family. The availability of on-site accommodation, for us and the wedding party, made on the day logistics so much easier, as well as creating an amazing atmosphere for the day (and the whole weekend for that matter!). We loved being able to wake up on site in the morning and have a leisurely start to our wedding. We also really appreciated the transparency regarding pricing - there were no hidden costs or last-minute surprises, which was a huge relief as we’d heard a number of horror stories from friends at other venues. They even had a number of wedding props we could use at no extra cost - something we didn’t encounter at any other venue we viewed where there seemed to be an additional charge for everything! While we were initially a little concerned about planning a "blank canvas" wedding in just six months, Sam made the entire process remarkably easy. She was incredibly helpful, always responding quickly to our queries and offered honest advice on what had worked well at the venue in the past. We had a bit of a non-traditional order to our day, which Sam was key in helping us to plan and get right. Sam was truly integral in making our whole wedding experience a fantastic one, from planning to the day itself, and we cannot thank her enough for this. Nothing was too much trouble for her, and she worked tirelessly to help ensure our perfect day. Everything ran so smoothly on the day itself, and the entire team was efficient, friendly, and helpful. We felt completely at ease knowing Sam had everything under control, allowing us to simply enjoy our day. We cannot speak highly enough of Sam and the Team - you will be in safe hands at Slapton Manor! Slapton was the perfect venue for our September 2025 wedding day, and we are BURSTING with gratitude for Sam and the team, who all worked like trains to make sure our day was everything we could ever have dreamed of. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful; we knew we wanted something rustic and cosy but also had a large guest list to accommodate, and Slapton ticked all of our boxes. We married in the barn which felt SO magical, and had a courtyard drinks reception and a marquee dinner and party to follow. The new marquee is gorgeous, spacious and gave us so much freedom to decorate as we pleased (we had a personalised/DIY vision which Sam gave us total creativity to bring to life). The venue offers countless backdrops for wedding photos (cobbled stone walls, trees, rustic gates, stairs, walkways lined with plants and the fairy light wall in the barn) and our photographer whizzed his way around to cover all bases. We couldn't be happier with the results; we have ended up with a wedding album which combines every fun, rustic, outdoorsy, farm/barn vibe we fell in love with when we first visited Slapton. We couldn't be happier we found this venue, and would recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat. Thank you for everything - we will spend forever reliving the most beautiful day. Stunning!Stunning!
We had our wedding here on the 17th May 2025, from our first meeting to our last goodbye Sam couldn't have done any more for us! The venue is stunning for a wedding, Sam and the staff go above and beyond to make sure you have the wedding you want. They will help with anything and always have a smile for you. I couldn't recommend this place any more. And it's absolutely worth the comparatively little they charge vs other venues. We had our wedding at Slapton Manor earlier this year and couldn’t recommend it enough! The wedding venue itself is great for all types of weddings and also has great accommodation on site for the wedding party. Sam was great from start to finish and accommodated all our requests and the service on the day was absolutely seamless, moving us through the day. All the guests kept commenting on what a beautiful the venue was. Thanks again Sam for everything!We had our wedding at Slapton Manor earlier this year and couldn’t recommend it enough! Our WeddingOur Wedding
We had our wedding day at Slapton Manor. It was the first wedding venue we viewed and we chose it after seeing 5-6 venues. We loved the peaceful and quiet environment and the new marquee was very spacious and toilets are clean. Sam and the team were very helpful and helped us to make our day as we imagined. The rooms were nice, clean and spacious with all the facilities. Would like to return again for staycation.We had our wedding day at Slapton Manor. It was the first wedding venue we viewed and we chose it after seeing 5-6 venues. We loved the peaceful and quiet environment and the new marquee was very spacious and toilets are clean. It gave us so much time to set up all our details exactly how we wanted them, without rushing, and it made our whole wedding week feel so relaxed and stress free. By the time the day itself arrived, we could just enjoy it, knowing everything was already in place. The farm itself quickly felt like home for the weekend. Being able to stay the night before with friends and family was so special, and waking up on site on the morning of the wedding made getting ready an absolute breeze. The on-site accommodation is fantastic, and having everyone together under one roof made the celebrations even more memorable. From day one, Sam and the team were amazing. They went above and beyond to help us bring our dream day to life, offering advice, support, and reassurance throughout. Even when the weather didn’t quite go our way, Sam immediately put us at ease with back-up plans ready, so we never had to worry. That's a tough question.... each wedding has been totally different as we don't have packages .... the day is completely tailored around the bride and groom.... We couldn't choose just one!

What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?

We love a party.... so always have the bar near the dancefloor, it's incredible what a difference it makes to an evening!

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

Wedding favours are lovely but we see so many get wasted... one of our weddings chose to donate the money they would have used for favours to a charity close to their heart instead.... we thought that was a lovely idea.
