Slapton Manor host a limited amount of weddings each year, this, along with setup a couple of days prior will ensure your special day is truly unique. Whilst here make Slapton Manor your home from home! With a 12thC Manor House at the centre of the farm, Slapton Manor will make you feel like you are separate from the rest of the world. Choose to say your 'I do's' in a choice of the 18thC Threshing Barn with ancient wooden beams and rustic walls,12thC Parish Church of St Botolph, famous for it's medieval wall paintings or maybe you wish to consider an outdoor ceremony? After the formalities it's time to celebrate! Maybe drinks on the historic Fold Yard followed by food and dancing the night away in the traditional marquee. There are endless possibilities to express yourself with the marquee which also boasts magical views and large enough to accommodate both your friends that wish to party and those who prefer to have a good catch up! Then when it's time to rest your weary head Slapton Manor also has it covered, offering a choice of 6 to 8 accommodation studios on site or for those who want to end the romantic day under the stars, glamping can be arranged. Or if camping is your thing, you and your guests are welcome to bring your own tents, caravans or campers! There is also ample local accommodation should you require more. Individuality is at the core of Slapton Manor; your day is tailored to you hence we don't believe in packages and you are welcome to use suppliers of your choice (except for beverages). But don't feel daunted, for those a little stuck on ideas, the team at Slapton Manor are always on hand to help throughout the planning process from advice on timings to recommending suppliers. Your day will be just you, your loved ones and the nature surrounding the farm, exclusively yours for the day!

The price also includes a couple of days access to the venue to settup and put your own touch on your special day. From the moment we first visited Slapton Manor, we knew it was the one. We wanted a venue that gave us the freedom to make the space completely our own, rather than feeling like we were on a conveyor belt of weddings, and Slapton delivers exactly that. One of the absolute best things about the venue is having access for several days before your wedding. It gave us so much time to set up all our details exactly how we wanted them, without rushing, and it made our whole wedding week feel so relaxed and stress free. By the time the day itself arrived, we could just enjoy it, knowing everything was already in place. The farm itself quickly felt like home for the weekend. Being able to stay the night before with friends and family was so special, and waking up on site on the morning of the wedding made getting ready an absolute breeze. The on-site accommodation is fantastic, and having everyone together under one roof made the celebrations even more memorable. From day one, Sam and the team were amazing. They went above and beyond to help us bring our dream day to life, offering advice, support, and reassurance throughout. Even when the weather didn’t quite go our way, Sam immediately put us at ease with back-up plans ready, so we never had to worry. Our wedding day was everything we had hoped for and more - it felt completely “us,” and Slapton Manor truly became our home for the weekend. We had the most incredible wedding day at Slapton Manor! The venue is stunning, perfect for those looking for a rustic atmosphere set in classic picturesque countryside. Sam was amazing throughout the entire planning process, she always had great recommendations for decoration and suppliers, but at the same time was so flexible when it came to our needs and requests, including having our dogs with us on our special day! The whole team couldn’t do enough for us to ensure we had the perfect day. With the beautiful church on site and great accommodation, we cannot recommend Slapton Manor enough for anyone looking for a lovely rural and unique wedding venue!We had the most incredible wedding day at Slapton Manor! Sam and her team are amazing. From a warm welcome when we first visited, to clearing up and saying our goodbyes the day after our wedding, everyone at Slapton Manor went above and beyond to make our wedding day 'our' wedding day. There was help and ideas at hand available from the best places for photos, to providing decorations and seasonal planting from around the farm. The rural setting is beautiful, all of our guests said how it provided a stunning backdrop to our wedding. Having a selection of self-contained rooms meant that we could have our family and friends stay on site, adding to the warm, family feel of the venue as a whole. We had plenty of time to set up before the day, with the space to get things set up as we liked. Sam and the team were never far away if we had any questions. Checking in to make sure that we hadn't missed anything, always going above and beyond. On the day, Sam's team were entirely professional and friendly, working with our other suppliers to ensure they were set up and had suitable spaces to work from. Our wedding ceremony at Slapton was just amazing. From the start Sam was really helpful thinking with us to make it exactly how we wanted and doing the rehearsal the day before was perfect to iron out the last details regarding the music and positions of everyone. The barn itself was exactly what we wanted. The atmosphere in the barn is unique. It is quite informal but intimate at the same time. We managed to include a lot of greenery in and around the barn bringing the outside inside. The area in front of the barn was perfect for our confetti photos. We could not have wished for a better location for our ceremony.Our wedding ceremony at Slapton was just amazing. As soon as we arrived at Slapton Manor we were blown away. I was getting a little worried about organising my own big day but Sam and her family made everything so easy. We loved having our wedding reception at Slapton Manor. Sam and her family went above and beyond for us, it felt like we were really looked after. Slapton really has the family / relaxed feel which we loved compared with the ‘wedding machines’ that you get at other venues. It was great that we had the place from two days before and the day after, which allowed for a stress- free set up and meant that we were able to just relax and enjoy the wedding preparations. We loved that us and our nearest and dearest were able to stay at the venue! Which made that stumble back to the room a lot easier!! Would recommend slapton as a perfect wedding venue to anyone looking for that personal touch and a more relaxed feel. We loved having our wedding reception at Slapton Manor. We fell in love with Slapton as soon as we came up the driveway and saw the beautiful house overlooking the lawn, with roses and flowers everywhere. Sam came out to greet us and walked us across the courtyard and we knew immediately this was where we wanted to get married, falling more in love with every part - the barn, the marquee, the rolling countryside views, the accommodation, the sheep!! Sam and her family are a huge part of Slapton’s charm and selling point. From our first viewing of the venue to the morning after our wedding, Sam provided a 5 star service. Her laid back, stress free approach is what every bride needs to stay calm. But don’t be fooled - Sam is a wedding expert, organised to a tee and her years of experience in the ‘corporate’ wedding world have allowed her to create a truly special thing at Slapton. We were given complete creative freedom over our day and no question or request was too big for Sam or the other staff. She will give as much or little input as you want, allowing you to create the day of your dreams. We have been to many friends weddings at hotels and other venues, where it feels like another day on a conveyor belt of bride and groom customers. Slapton could not be further from this - a family run, rustic countryside venue, where you will have exclusive access, be made to feel like VIP’s and have complete control over your special day. We love a party.... so always have the bar near the dancefloor, it's incredible what a difference it makes to an evening!

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

Wedding favours are lovely but we see so many get wasted... one of our weddings chose to donate the money they would have used for favours to a charity close to their heart instead.... we thought that was a lovely idea.
