We are a new venue, rescuing a small hidden country estate, within close proximity of Brighton and Horsham.
Private party paddock surrounded by views of farmland, streams, rivers, meadows. Ample space for small gatherings and large weddings.
We have a list of recommended suppliers, but if you prefer a giant circus tent with firebreathers and elephants, we are the venue for you!
We welcome well behaved dogs, and we can offer a glamping package for up to 14 luxury bell tents.
There is an onsite church should you require a religious ceremony, equally we are in the application stage to host civil ceremonies.
Hire times are from the day before your event, to the day after, to allow ample time to set up and tidy up afterwards.

Describe the best wedding that happened at Shermanbury Place?
My own wedding in 2004!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Your wedding day isn't just about you - it's the union of two families - so be forgiving when extended family 'act up'.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
At my own wedding - my new husband had organised a photo slide show projected onto the side of the marquee. It was full of photos of each of us growing up, and our own relationship. It was a total surprise and must have taken him ages to find all the photos, and put them together.
The view of the South Downs, church and house from the monument.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at Shermanbury Place?
Not yet!
What’s your favourite canapé?
Anything with smoked salmon.
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Bacon butty
What is Shermanbury Place most unique feature?
Creativity - we love things that are different.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
The progress we've made since we took over in 2022. Every single part of the estate was a total mess. We are still a work in progress, but the charm is shining through.
