The hotel owes its regal title to Queen Victoria, who visited the Royal Wells often as a young Princess in the early 19th century. She later granted the use of her coat of arms, which is proudly displayed at the top of the building. It has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment, incorporating the latest facilities and contemporary style, while retaining the original Victorian elegance and period features.

The staff are friendly and upbeat and know what they are doing. A great venue for meetings, weddings and sophisticated occasions. I would highly recommend visiting this hotel for the experience! But the evening before my wedding, the power went out. What happened after this was honestly incredible. Not only were we provided with a new space to get ready but we were also given a free bottle of champagne as an apology. The staff really went the extra mile. I cannot rate the service highly enough - it was clear the staff really cared. My partner and I have already said that we're going to returnI stayed here this past weekend as part of a group booking, organised by myself for my wedding. We could not have been more happy to find The Royal Wells as nothing was too much trouble and Paula could not do enough to accommodate us as the bridal party was getting ready in the hotel. What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
We've seen was a couple who wrote handwritten letters to each of their guests, thanking them for their friendship and support. These thoughtful notes were placed at each guest's seat, making everyone feel special and appreciated. It was a small gesture that had a big impact, creating a warm, personal atmosphere that guests truly cherished.

The Royal Wells Hotel offers several beautiful spots for wedding photos, with its hilltop location providing breathtaking views of the surrounding Tunbridge Wells area. The hotel’s elegant Victorian architecture also creates a stunning backdrop for portraits.

Well, we can’t officially confirm any VIP-list walking down the aisle here, unless we count the royal treatment we give all our guests.

As for my favorite canapé, I’d have to go with something classic like a smoked salmon blini—simple, elegant, and always a crowd-pleaser!

There’s something about those late-night snacks that just hit the spot after a night of celebration! Of course, some folks swear by indulgent sweet options like doughnuts or a slice of cake to satisfy those midnight cravings.
