We are happy and registered to conduct weddings in our beautiful chapel for marriages and proud to be one of the few places of worship to offer same-sex weddings. Anyone is invited to request a wedding at the Chapel regardless of faith or belief, our Minister is happy to discuss your requirements with you. Founded in 1692, Rosslyn Hill Unitarian Chapel is one of the oldest and largest Unitarian congregations in Britain. Being a Unitarian Chapel we are not hard and fast about the content of your Wedding Service, each one is personal, depending on what you would like for your special ceremony.
At an additional cost we can provide the church Minister, Registrar, and Caretaker, who sets up as per your special day requirements. We have our own Organist/Pianist, who can be hired at an extra cost, there is also a Florist who works from the Chapel Crypt. The Chapel is situated on Rosslyn Hill in a quiet oasis of peace, there is a pretty garden where photos can be taken. Biodegradable confetti, rose petals and rice may be scattered outside the Chapel, and in the gardens. There is a loading bay on Rosslyn Hill, just outside the main Chapel entrance, which you can suspend with Camden Council, this allows a double decker bus, or other large vehicle, to be parked for the duration of the wedding service. You are able to dress the Chapel with your own flowers and candles. the use of our Steinway Model D Concert Piano.
The Chapel was built in 1862 and expanded in 1885. It was built in the Gothic style with vaulted ceiling and stone arches. It contains a number of beautiful stained glass windows by artists such as William Morris, Sir Edward Burne-Jones and Henry Holiday. There are sculptures, furnishings and plaques of historical significance. The atmosphere is one of peace and reverence.
